“Very clean modern flat”

“We spent four nights recently in Serendipity in the Lakelands complex in Ambleside. We were delighted to find it clean, comfortable and well located with just steps to the local Tesco, shops and restaurants. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. The sheets and towels were luxurious. The kitchen is well equipped, so was the bathroom, and there was good storage. We especially enjoyed the incredible views over the church, town and to the mountains from the oversized windows. Communication with……

“Yes luvly flat. All great furnishings. Very clean. Entrance up round back needs to be kept tidier, swept up etc. Very handy for everything.”

“It was a great location. We did find the car park a little bit tight and tricky to get into (as the road was fairly busy when we arrived). The cottage was great and had all we were after and the downstairs bathroom was great for my elderly Mum. The two single beds mattresses were a bit past their best so the only thing I’d suggest to improve the property would be an update of those. Otherwise it was a great place to stay right on the river.”

“We had a wonderful long weekend at Halfway House. It was ideal situated just outside Ambleside but with easy access to activities, shops and restaurants. The house was old but beautifully renovated and kept. The comfort of the beds stood out!! The bathrooms were lovely and apart from fairly low pressured showers were great. We enjoyed the garden and outside areas between the showers!”

“Would definitely recommend this property...ideal location, spotlessly clean and excellent views.”

“Our family could not grasp the picturesque little cottage that we were going to stay in for three nights! They were over the moon!Hosts were so helpful and responsive!A few things to know:The road leading to the cottage is soooo narrow and windy. Be prepared to drive this 2 mile route over and over again. Also I just feel like for the amount each night costs at this cottage that a least a few more amenities should be included. Would wants to go out and buy toilet paper on their vacation after……

“A fantastic stay (helped by the beautiful weather) in a superb location ideal for exploring the southern Lakes.”

“Church View was a lovely retreat in the heart of the lovely village of Ambleside. We really enjoyed ourselves here and in the Lake District generally.”

“Great communication, the property was superb!”
