The bathroom tras can was randomly sitting in the middle of room with liquid in it, matching one in hallway with same liquid. No clue what it was, definitely wasn’t going to investigate too far. Sink faucet would not stop running without significant force. Shower handle would lift away from wall and top screw was just placed into it, not screwed to anything. Don’t believe I would stay again

Only go here if you're on a budget.. If you can afford a more expensive hotel avoid this one. Hotel feels like an abandon building.. hot tub not working,, pool area had skylights busted out.. they had a tarp on top of the glass skylights.. on the way to breakfast i noticed some of the windows were boarded.. patatoes taste freezer burned.. you can tell they're trying to update a few rooms but its not worth it to me.. I will not come back here.. great location is the only positive thing I can say...

Pool area is completely unacceptable. A trash bin full of water with trash floating in it, cloudy pool water, dirty floors, broken flower pots, hot tub area taped-off and unusable. Truly embarrassing to show my friend where I was staying because the indoor pool was the reason I chose the hotel. VERY unhappy, and I would not recommend.

They are making a lot of repairs so I am hoping for a better stay for others in the future. However in the mean time a little cleaning goes a long way. The rooms smelled, the pool is extremely old looking the room leaks badly in the pool area. Some staff was amazing other staff could not ask a simple question, if they had any premium channels? I would recommend waiting for improvements to happen before booking.

I booked a king room and got stuck with 2 queens. No curtains in room Room smelled like a pool HD tv has no HD channels! Doors are very loud! You can hear someone leaving there room 2 floors down!

The room looked at the pool. The room smelled of exhaust the whole night. The bathroom light didn’t even turn on. There was essentially not comforter/blanket on the bed. Room was sparse. Likely would not stay here again

Rude, unprofessional, several times our room keys failed, upon arrival our rooms were all on different floors even though I called in the morning to confirm we needed an adjoining room and close- told it was all set. Verbally abusive front desk clerk put my room on the 3rd floor with a half mile walking to the elevator, handicap requested. the horrible experience needs to be rectified.

Although the staff was friendly and the hotel is located in a convenient area, it is run down with only a few rooms remodeled, and the drive/ parking is full of potholes that are deep and dangerous

Great restaurant attached. Throwback atmosphere of giant old hotel was rather pleasant, it felt like going back to the 70's. The usual filth and mold all hotels seem to ignore in favor of constant superficial cleaning by maid staff but you can't get away from that these days.

Cool hot water and no water pressure
The location is great. There was food left in the refrigerator from a prior occupant. When I brought this to the attention of desk staff no offers were made to clean the room or refrigerator. Outside of the room, there was a water leak with a trash can to catch the leaking water. There are no towel bars to hang wet towels. Water pressure was nearly nonexistent. I had to have hot water turned on all the way to get lukewarm water for a shower. SPend your money on another hotel.

Was told we had newly redone room, the floor felt like you were going to fall thru, same with the tub. ironing board fell apart when took off wall, toilet over flowed. bathroom door was tore up. beds and tv were nice though and fridge and air worked great. breakfast was nice also.

This is the first time I have had to leave a negative review and it feels weird, but it needs to be said. I had a conference in Lansing this weekend. All of the area hotels were expensive due to a home Spartan football game. I understood the expense. What I didn't understand was the lack of hot water in my bathroom. I literally had all cold water at the end of my shower. I brought it to the desks attention that moring and they said they would look into it. Maintenance was busy, with multiple buckets in my hallway catching leaks all weekend, but they found it wasn't heating properly. I was told the morning of check out someone was supposed to have called me and check if I needed a shower--so they could move me to a different room. I received no phone call. The front desk was not even interested in giving a discounted rate for the inconvenience...only a sorry about that. It was very poor customer service. And I'm quite certain the manager was sitting in a chair in the corner of the front desk area. The breakfast was a voucher system, but decent.
