The Dakota cabin did not have airconditionong. This was not.made known at the time. We were over to another cabin Bigfoot Bungalow. Upon arrival we found that it was not.clean . I had to do laundry and make beds before we.coukd sleep. Then we had to find something to eat and by that time there was not.much open. Found the Dakota Mart and finally ate ate 8 pm. Next.day went.to Spearfish for groceries. Had to sweep and vacuum the lodge as well. Not a good start.the rest of.the week was great. We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! The description of the cabin is spot on. Better than I imagined, the pictures don't do it justice! Two super minor things, but just a heads up. Knob was broken on the main floor stereo system so I couldn't turn it on. Not that we watched a lot of TV, but it would have been nice to have an updated, larger TV for movies in the evening. The cabin was a great fit for 3 couples plus one of our adult kids. Slept all 7 of us comfortably, and having 2 bathrooms was perfect. The driveway fit our 3 Jeeps + one extra vehicle. View off the deck is AMAZING! Kitchen had all the amenities we needed. Appreciated having the 2 gathering spaces so people could spread out as needed. Being so close to Terry Peak meant we were close to several trail heads, Deadwood, Lead, and even ventured to Spearfish for dinner one night. I can see how this would be a great winter stay as well. That was entertaining lol. The main floor was a little cramped especially the kitchen setup. We had a terrible time locking the door every time we left. We enjoyed seeing wildlife in the yard during our stay. However, there were a few items that we weren't satisfied with. The internet had a very weak signal (needed for some work while away) and there were also things that weren't as clean as one would expect them to be.
