A fabulous stone cottage built in 1855, nestled in to the the hillside

The propertyThis semi-detached, stone-built Llwyngwril holiday cottage stands in a quiet lane beside the River Gwril in the pretty village of Llwyngwril in the Snowdonia National Park. This lovely North Wales cottage offers character accommodation including exposed beams, slate flagged floors and an impressive stone inglenook fireplace with a woodburner, all creating a charming, cosy atmosphere. This welcoming Llwyngwril cottage is close to many riverside and hill walks, with amenities of the village just a minute's walk, while it is only 10 minutes walk to the beach, which is brilliant for long lazy walks and rock-pooling at low tide. The area is also renowned for its fantastic climbing, surfing and cycling opportunities.

Note: The cottage is stone built in 1855 and is set into the hillside which has it's issues.
It has 2ft thick stone walls which change in temperature as does the weather.

Sometimes it will have seasonal weather effects:
You will possibly get muddy. The cottage is built into the hillside.
You will probably bring wet footwear / clothing into the cottage.
It is expected. Unless the sun shines. It is a sun trap from 11am until sunset.
It is not The Hilton.
There may be spiders.

If the above details don't worry you, please book, you won't be disappointed.
Regards Joe

Had an amazing 3 night stay
Had an amazing 3 night stay at this beautiful stone cottage. It was very well equipped and situated in a stunning coastal village. It has a terrace at the front which is a sun trap all day .villages are very friendly and welcoming. There is a pub 2 minute walk away which is great for drinks but the food is not the best however. There is some lovely walks around the area too I would definitely stay here again . Joe the owner has been great too !

Comfortable, well equipped cottage. Everything we needed for a restful stay. Comfy beds and good WiFi connection. Lovely afternoon sun to sit out and barbecue in private space. Plenty of walks nearby, including Welsh coastal path on doorstep and short stroll along river to the sea. 5 minute walk to station for trips along the coast. Pub serving food and shop in village. Perfectly located Snowdonia getaway
For anyone looking to enjoy both the beaches and amazing Snowdonia mountains this property is perfectly located - giving easy access to both. Based in a quiet but incredibly friendly village our family had a great two weeks and Joe, the owner, couldn’t have been more helpful with his suggestions of great places to go, things to do and places to eat. A snug and well appointed cottage that made for a great getaway.

Little Welsh Wonder
Found the property by chance and really glad I did. Lovely little cottage in a really peaceful and beautiful area. Had all the amenities we required and above and beyond in the kitchen terms of kitchenware. Nice firm beds which were really comfy. Plenty of space for clothes. Wifi worked great. We took our amazon firestick for the kids to watch films and worked first time with the tv/WiFi. Loved the check-in process of collecting the key from the lock box as it was less pressure on arriving at a certain time. Just as easy to check out too. Jo the owner was a great communicator and made the whole experience really simple. Lovely chatty farmer next door had me in stitches so lovely neighbours too. Short walk to pebbled beach and to the train station to go into Barmouth. Small village store really friendly. Pub was shut unfortunately but that’s COVID for you. Would definitely recommend this cottage and would stay again 😊
