We stayed at Mayumi for 8 nights and enjoyed everything about it. The design of the hotel is very attractive. The courtyard, from the water feature to the fire pit to the plantings, is soothing. We were visiting family and had several meals together at the large outdoor table. Our room was cozy and comfortable. The breakfast buffet included excellent coffee, yogurt, and pastries. The staff was friendly and helpful. All for a reasonable price. We’ll be back on our next visit to Culver City!

Check in was super simple process, and the location was great for everything we had planned for our trip. Also, did not struggle at all with parking and the room fits perfect for two people. Amazing stay!

Everything is great (location, room, etc.)! Would definitely book here again. The only knock I can give is it the bed is kinda small. Just enough for me and my gf. But for bigger couples this might be an issue. There’s (free) street parking. It wasnt in issue during my 4 day stay.

The room is small but nice for a solo traveler or a close couple. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the water pressure and temperature in the shower was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are on the smaller side, but very clean and enough space for a couple. Very nice outdoor patio area in the center to sit and relax. Overall, it is a good price without having to compromise in other areas.

Motel style but completely modernised, light and airy. An easy-to-use system and the staff are helpful albeit with a light touch. The room had everything I needed, perfect for a business stay or a couple on a short trip. The breakfast is “help yourself” but decent quality and plenty of it. The only potential downside could be that, as the walls are thin and the rooms open onto a courtyard, if you get a noisy neighbour it could an issue (but I had no problems). Would stay again!

Ok but mediocre at best
For work the hotel was convenient. I would never stay there with someone. The rooms are tiny. The lighting is terrible. And the bed is up against the shower. The door was heavy it would hit me coming in or out. There is no private parking. Again, for travel it was fine. I watched tv and slept. Thats it.

Mayumi is my go-to hotel for any stay on the west side of Los Angeles. It is so clean, efficient, friendly and convenient to many places. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is just right. Rooms are small but wonderfully designed, efficient and just perfect for one or two. The free parking on streets outside is always available and safe.

Super cute boutique hotel a short distance from the airport and Culver City. Bikes were available to take for a spin as part of the stay, and the courtyard had an inviting feel with music that made it feel like an outdoor lounge. The room itself was clean, and taking a shower in the center of the room feels kinda wrong, but also kinda right. Even with it being right next to the bed, the room doesn’t feel cramped. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely quiet sheltered courtyard with subtle landscaping, fire pit, water feature, hummingbirds. Helpful staff, good breakfast, easy access to LAX... I'll definitely stay there next time I'm in Los Angeles.

No mention of charging facilities fee
Well this didn't start out so good. It's an unassuming hotel, looks like a converted small apartment complex with a small gate, wasn't sure if it was the front door so I rang the doorbell, and the guy came to answer the door, I asked him if this is the hotel, and he asked if I was a delivery guy. No, I'm checking in, and he didn't apologize, checked me in fine, very businesslike. He took my credit card for deposit and didn't say anything else. Then I get home and find a $15.97 charge on my card. I sent an email inquiry but 3 days later no response. I called them and the lady said it was a facilities fee but then she had to hang up because she was busy. Aren't staff required to at least mention to you when they're charging something to your credit card? I checked my Trip Details here on hotels.com and it does not mention any fee but on the hotel details page it does list it. Room is OK but the blackout curtain is basically useless since so much light shines around the edges anyway. Touch panel is high tech but means you have to go all the way to the panel to turn the light on/off which seems unusual for a hotel when you have to get up and go that far from the bed. The water seems heavily treated here, showers were really uncomfortable, no matter how much I rinsed or scrubbed, I could not get the soap feeling off. Even washing hands was really uncomfortable. This alone makes me want to stay elsewhere. Pretty bad view of junk hoarders across the alley.

Loved this hotel! I'm a small boutique hotel girl. The rooms were small but so clean and cute and modern. The courtyard was so nice sitting outside having breakfast in the swings or by the fire pit was nice. Would stay here again!

Clean and cute!
The hotel is super cute. We loved the outdoor area. My husband liked the breakfast. The room was very clean. Only two things we did not like, size of the bed ( too small for two people) and the shower had no pressure at all. That was a bummer. I would love to make this hotel my second home. 😩. Sadly, for those two reasons we would not stay there again.
