I could not get the thermostat to work properly and the termperature was in the low 50s. There was a remote but I could not figure it out. There were no extra blankets and the one that was on the bed was extremely lightweight. I had to wear my clothes including jacket in the bed and was still cold. The room was clean--I will admit that--but the exterior of the property is in dismal condition--overgrown weeds, faded and dilapidated signs, and dirty grounds. The online somewhat cheerful exterior pictures were likely taken years ago and do not reflect the property's current state.. The WiFi was weak and inconsistent, not working most of the time. The door had a simple non-deadbolt key lock that would be easy to break into and with the number of the room on the key. I had a two-night reservation and left after one night. I am seeking a refund for the remaining night.

There were ants in my bathroom that i had to clean off myself, and they still kept coming back. Extremely thin walls too. My bed was also not even fully straight. It was very uncomfortable. I would not recommend coming here.

This was one of the worst hotels I've been at!! Horrible!! Bad! All bad!! The area, rooms, no bolt lock and the door was not secured. Had to leave!! Poor all around, gave a 1 star because it was the lowest option

Not much to like. Roaches are your roommates. We left early because we couldn't stand the smell of cigarettes, weed, mold, and various cleaning supplies used to cover the smell. We all had headaches from the stench. Just overall gross. Will NOT stay here again. Ever.

I didnt like how the only single employee of the evening shift handled my reservation. I asked for his assistance, and without giving me a chance to explain the simple mistake that was made on the date it was booked, he just shunned me and assumed that I was up to no good. He made it very difficult and delayed my stay during the cold evening. Once i got the date fixed with no help from him, he purposely made sure he gave me the furthest room from.the property that also needs allot of maintenance from the door, to the bathroom shower head which didnt work right. I asked for his name at one point and he just shook his head and went back to watching videos on his phone. Over all terrible experience.

This was a perfect stay for my vacation trip. It was easily accessible to everywhere I wanted to go. Metro rail was between 15-20min away depending on how fast I wanted to walk and variety of food stores are nearby. This is one of those where the outside belies what's on the inside. The service was fantastic and there's a movable placard on the inside doorknob to let housekeeping know you need service. My one big gripe is the wi-fi needs upgrading cause it was very intermittent. The longest it stayed on uninterrupted was 45mins and I only had that luxury once. Otherwise my stay there was perfect👌

Perfect location and comfort
We are returning customers and love this little motel. Affordable, ample free parking, walking distance to Metro, comfortable and great view from the balcony. Description doesn’t mention fridge and microwave, but both were there as well as a coffeemaker. What’s not to like?

Perfect for nearby conference at Convention Center
I was attending a conference at the LA Convention Center, so this motel was the perfect solution. No parking fee is a big plus, and I took a Lyft to and from nearby places. The staff was very nice and helpful, the room has refrigerator and coffee machine. There were a few little bugs, nothing horrible.

The area surrounding the place is very rundown and seems to be not a great part of town, but the motel is fenced and they have security cameras for the parking lot and surrounding areas. The original room we were put in was extremely rundown and smelled bad. Old and outdated carpet, bed, bathroom fixtures, which we could've handled for 1 night, but the stale smoke smell was awful and we couldn't stay in the room. I mentioned to the gentleman, who I believe is the owner/manager, that the smell was bad and we couldn't stay in the room. I requested a different room so we would be able to sleep. Without question, he went to look to see if he had another room available. He came back a bit later just as we were considering leaving instead and said he had a newer, remodeled room he could move us to for the night. The second room was very nice and comfortable. Everything seemed new and in great condition. The bed was extremely comfortable and the air quality was great. He did mention that this room is a higher rate, so I would recommend booking this the better room if you are able. I did not notice an option to book this different room on Expedia, so unsure if it needs to be booked through them directly or another site. All in all, we were happy with the room we ended up staying in and very pleased with the staff/management. The older rooms are not comfortable and desperately need to be redone, which it seems like they are working on doing.

Cool 1 night stay, everything is gated so it’s pretty safe. The only bad thing about the hotel is that you can hear everything through the walls. Kids crying and people yelling at 8am. Other than that cool place to stay

Holiday Lodge - not so good
The stay was disappointing. Arriving to Holiday Lodge, I needed a restroom - the worker did not allow me to use the one that was available. Hence, a bad start with wet pants. The room was only cleaned after we had asked the lady to do so. The fist couple of days - no cleaning. The holder for toilet paper was broke. The shower-head was leaking. At night, the balcony outside was fully lit - we had no chance turning it off. Hence, the room was full of light since the curtains did not close very well.

This property was a last-minute booking, and I do have regrets about staying here. Though I got a non-smoking room, the room absolutely reeked of cigarettes. The toilet looked filthy, and the overall condition of the room was alright at best. I tried to park my car closer to my room, but the front desk person would not open the gate and insisted that I park where the other cars are, despite there being other cars in the area that I wanted to park at. The door is also missing a secondary lock, it only has the single lock on the door handle. Overall, I would not choose to stay at this location again, this just happened to be a last-minute convenient booking.

Property itself is strange, can’t even go in office while they try to hold your card and ID hostage at check in. Door to room leads directly outside. Random people knocking on your door, then “whoops, wrong person” ummmm why are you here lol. Hilly area if you’re walking/biking and I’m not joking. Fireworks that literally shake the foundation of buildings and sound like an air strike will literally traumatize you, if you know what I’m talking about then sheesh. Used towels. People outside in parking lot all night. Door itself could be easily forced, the “chain” is cheap crap from a hardware store. Walls are so thin. Gate for on foot — you’ll need to be let in. To top it all off the guy at the office is disconcerting with his not-so-passive aggressive behavior. Don’t do it.
