"We truly enjoyed our stay. The house is very clean, well-stocked and owners were attentive and pleasant. The dock is super nice with lots of toys! Our grandchildren had a blast swimming and riding the waves on the lily pad from the boat traffic...which was a little heavy given 4th of July holiday. We also rented a pontoon boat from the marina around the corner which was very convenient. Kitchen and cooking equipment is top-notch. We also went on several wonderful hikes in the Bankhead National Forrest, highly recommend Sougahoagdee Falls hike...it's worth every step! Also very nice to have a full-size grocery store so near in Double Springs. We were pleased with all aspects of this rental and definitely recommend. "

"This property checked all of our boxes. It is off the main channel, few steps to the water, enough beds and baths for our family, activities for the children, close to a marina for gas, covered slip for boat, and plenty of parking. The provided amenities were also unbelievable. Anything that we forgot to bring was provided. What a great hostess Tracy is! When I called her twice with concerns, they were taken care of immediately. Thank you so much!!"

"We came with a lot of people and the seating was excellent for all sizes. Location difficult to find but very lovelySome upgrades may be in order, like new pillows would be nice. Windows and screens could use a good scrubbing. "Very enjoyable stay on Smith Lake (Sipsey River)We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Whitt’s end! There was plenty of room and excellent communication with the property owner. The property was as advertised with some general wear and tear on the house. It was quiet even with other properties nearby. The house was very comfortable for our group of 11. We had all the necessities we needed provided by the owner and the A/C kept the house cold. The fire pit was also a big hit in the evenings.The Screened porch works great especially with all the kids when it rains, which it did often this past week. was perfect to just hang out, eat, play games or just relax with lots of seating. There is easy access to boat dock via wooden walkway with not many steps and well lit at night. The boat dock is in an excellent location with very little boat traffic so the kids were able to play off the dock. Its not on the main channel and just inside a no wake zone. The water pad and slide were perfect! The covered boat slip and JetSki port was great for the PWC and bass boat although a power receptacle to recharge the batteries would have been nice. I'm glad it was covered since it rained so much! The public launch was close by (next to Lakeshore Marina). Its a short drive - or boat ride - to Lakeshore Marina. We all had a great time and would definitely rent again! As a matter of fact, my family has already asked me to re-rent this property for next year."
