Location is great. Room was small bathroom outdated and tired looking. For 300 a nite the rooms should be nicer.

Visit to UW-VMTH with Dog

Made this reservation anticipating that our dog would be scheduled for a procedure the day after our initial visit. Turns out the procedure could not be performed at UW, so I contemplated not staying. However, my dog had a rough time coming out of anesthesia, so we elected to stay regardless. Stayed in 510. Spacious and clean. View of the Capitol out one window; air conditioners out the other, but we didn't mind. Nice walking/jogging trail right along the lake. Front desk staff (particularly Abby) was wonderful and very helpful!

Nice hotel with great views of the lake

My mom and I had been driving for 13 hours when we decided to stop and stay at the hotel. Staff was great and despite construction our room was very quiet. Highly recommend Valet parking as the hotel was very busy with weddings and there was little space.

Near the square

Perfect location near the square, within walking distance to shopping, coffee, food. We had a great view of the lake as well. I had trouble sleeping though because the air conditioner was rattling all night.

Good view, average room

We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton. The staff was great. Our view was excellent of the lake. The room itself was nothing super special but was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Convenient but Lousy Accommodations

The room was no where near worth the money I paid for it. The mattress was on the ground, the phone in the room did not work and the lobby smelled moldy. The only good thing was that it was very close to the event I attended downtown. Next time I am in Madison, I'll definitely book at another hotel.

Blood red stuff comes out of the faucet.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: The could be water without bloody stuff.
Couldn't use shower and the sink didn't work. Blood red stuff came out of shower and same stuff was deposited in toilet. Disgusting. Complete disinterest on the part of the staff.

Stay was Ok. We paid a lot of money for a room here, not to mention paying for parking as a guest. We had issues with our check-in which took a bit of time and was annoying as we had a long day and just wanted to get in our room. Customer service wasn't terrible, but not necessarily the best either. We've stayed here once before, as we drive into Madison at least twice a year. I'm not sure if I'm willing to stay here again, we could hear EVERYTHING through the walls, there were times we thought someone was actually in our room. Not the best visit. We had room service sent to our room, we were tired and looking for something sweet. Great dessert/room service options.

A perfect home base for exploring a great city.

This hotel is in a perfect location to enjoy the fabulous Madison downtown. The capital building, with its weekend farmers' market, is a stroll away; the best restaurants in the city are clustered around a couple of superb concert venues; the shopping seems great though that's not quite my scene. The staff is friendly and the building itself clean and well-maintained. Perhaps best of all: it has one of the best hotel bars I've hung out in in quite a while. Great place to stay!
