Good hotel adequate for short stays
The hotel is nicely located, just across the street from the City Centre, and a short walk to the river promenade. The neighbourhood is quite, clean and safe. The hotel furniture and amenities are quite practical and adequate. The included breakfast is well stocked with good variety. The only question is the charge of 10 Euro for parking your car there, while there are ample of street parking right next to the hotel.

Good central location and a good breakfast buffet. Be aware though that parking isn’t free so that can add 10 euros per night to the cost.

badly need quality check
This hotel badly needs serious upgrading! the lobby to level 1 lift is not working, so those with heavy luggage pls pay notice! the shower is very small less than 1sqm! and the plumbing is choking! no tissue paper is provided , i was asked by the reception to use toilet paper instead!there is no air conditioner control button nor working ,upon reporting the problem, I was asked by the unfriendly receptionist to open the window in the winter month to allow air circulation in the hot stuffy room!the window does not have the safety chain, and I am on the 1st floor, anybody could have climb inside the room if I leave the window open! breakfast is average, the surroundings is very quiet nad dark after 4pm, town square is about 1km walk . very unlike any Mercure Hotel I stayed in the past, I recommend the Headquarter send someone down thee for quality control and checking!

Hotel close to transport and nice to stay
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was spacious, nice bathroom with tub, 4 minutes walk to bus terminal, 8 minutes walk to central train station. The historical district is 10-15 minute walk. The reception is on a non person elevator floor, but luggage can be placed on it and you meet the luggage on the 1st floor. It has a bar and restaurant adjoining which the bar man was very friendly and diligent in being certain your needs are met. There are massages available but need to book a day in advance, and I believe this is true for the sauna. The size of the property, one would think they could carve out a space for a fitness center. That would be a great addition.

Excelent choice
The location was fantastic only few minutes from historic center. The breakfast was good and the room was very spacious. The hotel is located in a nice quite area.

The only thing wrong with the stay was the check-in. Wrong room (room given wasn't yet empty) then wrong bed (2 singles instead of double) on the wrong side of the hotel (next to the refrigeration in back). The team was pleasant, helpful but not so able to fix things... Breakfast was great. The beds were comfy, cozy and clean. The shower was powerful and hot. all in all ok.

My wife and I stayed here at the start and end of a cycling trip to Slovenia. The hotel staff were all very professional, courteous and helpful in every matter. The hotel is older, but has obviously had the interior updated and everything is clean and well maintained. A very pleasant experience. We would stay there again should we go back to Maribor, Slovenia.

Okay, but some staff are not customer-focussed!
Our room had a bath shaped like a coffin - very strange. The air conditioning produced the same temperature whatever setting we used; we had to keep the window open otherwise the room was too hot. The pillows were very firm and large; it cost €3.50 extra to get a different pillow. Breakfast was okay. Reception guy said we should not go on a tour of the wineries, just go to the old one on the riverside, and to get to old town Ptuj, he said to go and check the public information desk.

comfortable.
Close to centre/older town. Good parking. Warned us off a wedding taking place and if we were bothered by it we could be moved. We didn't hear the wedding and had a very good nights sleep. Staff were very helpful and we had a very pleasent stay.

A pleasant hotel well placed for visiting the city
This is a good value for money hotel. We found the room quite large compared to other european hotels we have stayed in. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was basic but adequate - no toaster though. They have car parking on site and it is only a five minute walk into the city centre. Did not try the restaurant for dinner as they had a function on that evening however there was a good choice of restaurants in the old town. Overall, we would stay here again.

Close to old town- solidly average

good value for one night stay
we had booked a double bed room with a child and the beds were two singles and no cot for the baby. however, the staff was very polite and accommodating. not much menu choice for children breakfast.

Convenient hotel at the heart of the city

Excellent hotel
We stayed in Piramida just one nights. It is such a nice hotel. The reception and the waiting staff were lovely. The room was spacious and super clean. The breakfast had a wide selection to choose from. I wish we stayed another night so I could have checked out the sauna and have some treatments in the spa. Lovely hotel in a lovely country.

Great Hotel with great breakfast.
The breakfast was great and the rooms was very clean. It was like staying in an apartment. The city of Maribor is very quiet in the afternoon till late night and al shops closed. Not much to do in Maribor. But we had a great time at the Hotel Piramida. Parking was not a problem for only one euro per day can park in private parking area of the Hotel.
