Overall, it’s inviting; the aesthetics and ambiance. The service is ‘selective’. I did have a problem with the water. I wanted to make tea and just use the tap instead of spending $5 for a bottle and to my dismay, it was very dirty- the of water-based tar residue. I had brushed my teeth before then but you couldn’t tell the because of the flow. Ugh. I took pics and went to guest service desk. She was a little insulting in that she told me it was probably from the coffee residue- like duh, I wouldn’t have assumed that IF I had even poured the water in the pot- and she saw no tea bag … and the coffee used KPod which would mean the pot had not been scaled in some time. Not once did the representative even offer me a bittyof water so I could make tea. Guess I didn’t need any.

Towels were not stocked, there was no running water in the room at about 9:15 am, hall carpet was super stained, good bones but very dated.

Thank you for your recent review Marti- We appreciate the feedback. I am sorry about the running water, we had to change out one of the hotel water heaters which created this issue, I am very sorry.
Had an issue at check in my room wasn’t ready
And they wanted me to wait , I talked to the manager and got another room in a higher floor not what I wanted but it was ok. For the time I waited and inconvenienced the manager offer me credit for lunch the next day. But when I went to get the lunch the next day there was no credit the lady at the front desk gave me the run Around and wasn’t able to get a hold of him “ shocker “ so I was lied to and plus paid for a $40 breakfast also x2 that I didn’t use and they didn’t give me the money back. So I will never go back to this hotel and I’ll make sure that my grotof friends and family won’t either. Very unprofessional and if you offer the customer something back it up don’t lie just to try to bring down the situation. I was basically lied to.
Very disappointed being a military veteran and being treated like that.

Very sorry you had this issue while you were here John. Looks like we had a procedural issue. A staff member did not handle our process correctly resulting in this issue. There certainly was no one lying to you, and I am sorry that was the perception. I am very sorry and I am hopeful that you will give us another try.
Overall, it is a nice hotel. The pool and room weren't as big as imagined, and they had no shuttle to the airport. However, it was clean, comfortable, and close to the Dolphin Mall.

The first night during my stay, there was no hot water. We were not informed that there was no hot water during check-in. It was only after I complained the next morning that I was told they were having a property-wide problem with the hot water. It was fixed the next day, but it is something that should have been disclosed at check-in.

The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. The front desk staff is top notch. Conrad is the reason why I continue to book at this Intercontinental. I travel weekly for business and when I come to Miami Doral I make sure to book at Intercontinental. The breakfast, happy hour and food selection is great. The staff greets you by name(particularly Conrad) and actually remembers your face and name.

I liked the location and that is quiet. Also liked that it has ample parking and its safe. But the room smelled funky. I'm still trying to figure out what it smelled like.Also the toilet is verycold and very l9w. And you have to press and hold a side button very uncomfortable. It didn't smell clean at all.
