Classic old Hollywood vibe.
The pool area is like something straight out of a Hollywood glamor movie set. It just transports you to a different era. (Many fashion photo shoots take place there, one was going on as we arrived.)

Hotels.com did not make us aware that the pool was under maintenance, and the hotel itself implied that they disclosed this. We would not have stayed at this hotel at this price had we known the pool would not be available to guests.

Perfect Hotel Taking Us Back to Another Era
The Raleigh was absolutely lovely. The pool was magnificent but temporaily having work done so accomodations were made at 3 near-by hotels The pool at the Delano was wonderful and very close to the Raleigh. It's a 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach where the water was warm and calm. It was a wonderful stay. And the food at the restaurant was the best.

Great hotel with beach access
The hotel was beautiful. The pool area outstanding. Front desk staff where welcoming and very helpful. We liked the fact that there was direct beach access and they included lounge chairs on the beach for the hotel (umbrellas are extra, but well worth it in August). This hotel is a little farther from the party atmosphere of Miami Beach (which was just fine with us) but it was still within walking distance of the areas we wanted to visit. We opted not to get a car while staying there since we would just end up leaving it at the hotel. We got a room with a balcony and ocean view and glad that we did. It was very nice.

The wine hour sealed the deal.
The hallway smelled a bit musty, and the room was a little outdated. Overall, though, we enjoyed our stay. We love the pool, but were disappointed that it was closed for renovation the second day of our stay. At the same time, we appreciate that alternative pools were provided. (Although, there was no comparison, you have the best pool by far!)

Nice beach and staff
Nice hotel but could use some updating. The staff at the hotel and beach were awesome!! Good location you are far enough north to get away from the noise of south beach but close enough to walk or drive down to it. Parking and resort fees were a little expensive. Overall a nice stay with the beach being a plus.

Nothing special, old, overpriced, old beat up furniture, small room and bathroom, very expensive parking, charge us for everything, don't allow your own bottled drinks at pool. Will not book again. Not 4 stars as advertised.

Not the best Miami Beach hotel, put passable
First night there, they did not have along room available (which is what we booked). They moved us to a king room for 2nd and 3rd nights. Service poolside and at the beach was fine, however service in the restaurant for breakfast was terrible.

fabulous iconic pool, bar and beach. the rooms were stale and old. There are so many more updated hotels in the area , the raleigh has a great history but they need to update the rooms and improve service at the front desk. Lobby is stunning but the buck stops there , it has a bit of a haunted creepy vibe in the rooms. I am a bit disappointed . After 4 nights of the hotel they would not allow me to stay 1 hour after checkout . I had to change in a hot steamy closet.

Miami experience was real good but the hotel staff was very terrible I worked with the manager when I got in I told her I wold like to pay for my Resort fee she said fine instead she held 400 of my money and never told me if I new I would never giving her my debit I would giving her my credit card instead her response was welcome to Miami wow smh I told them to stop authorizing my debit and they continued the whole time to do so the communication of the people that work their is terrible

The hotel is not what it seems via internet or pictures. Outdated. Dirty rooms. No comforts. You couldn't even heat up your left over food because no microwave was available. Daily room was clean or so they say, filthy! Small rooms, outdated, condition of halls, elevators poor. Pool was dirty. I was extremely disappointed and even transferred rooms and still not satisfied.

Infinity of fees.
They charge you too much fees, valer parking is so expensive, and the rooms are nothing that big, the rooms are old fashioned, you end up paying more money than the total you pay when you booked. Will not come back to this hotel in the future when I'm visiting Miami.

Great location and beautiful outdoor area
We loved our stay, the location next to the beach and restaurants is ideal and the pool/patio area is wonderful. The hotel rooms are comfortable and quiet but also a bit outdated, including the bathroom but it's still very decent. The food is excellent.

Our trip was in June from a Wed-Sunday. Pros: Charming decor/design Excellent food at restaurant and bar Friendly and helpful staff Pool and beach amenities were great Not over crowded or too scene-y Cons: Rooms were on the smaller side Like all things in Miami food/drink was expensive and they include 18% service charge DJ on Saturday at the pool wasn't my thing Overall it was an excellent trip with few things I would change! I highly recommend!

The hotel was not at all what was listed when I booked the room was nothing like it had been described! There are many hidden fees that they do not list!!! Be aware when attending this hotel, they stock your room with drinks and snacks that all need to be paid for as well as a 400$ holding fee which was ridiculous. I was not pleased

It was the worst hotel I've ever been in the pictures online are not what the rooms look like this hotel should be called the hotel of horror.. The front desk was horrible with their service I won't recommend anyone staying here. The rooms look like a jail cell disgusting../.

Fun time!
This is a nice, affordable, hotel that's right on Collins avenue, a street full of nice restaurants and lots of shopping. The staff was nice besides the pool manager was just doing her job and telling me not to bring my outside food or drink to the pool are (sorry I don't want to pay $18 for a Long Island). The hotel rooms were small, although there was plenty of storage, but I barely spent time in my room.

Nice hotel minus the hidden fees.
Added $45 per day in taxes am due then a $30 per day resort fee. My $109 per night room ended up costing $185 per night. Hotels.com needs to clean up that problem or I'll book elsewhere.

Another fun stay at the Raleigh
We have stayed at the Raleigh before, it's a very nice hotel in a great location. 2 blocks to Lincoln Road mall and easy walking distance to Ocean Dr. It also has the best pool we've seen in South Beach, very spacious with lots of loungers for relaxing at the pool and a very good outdoor restaurant and bar, even if it is a little pricey. They also have dedicated beach space for guests so if you looking to relax at the pool or beach, this is a great place to stay

A nice place, but some odd behavior from the staff. It seems that a client has recently left the pool area without paying their bill, which made everyone at the restaurant and pool area nervous - they asked us to sign bills BEFORE getting our drinks, which I found odd.

The nicest pool in south beach
You don't go to south beach for a gorgeous room to sit in you go for the beach, pool & nightlife - the Raleigh is a chic boutique mid century hotel that kept its old charm and maintained its pride and joy - the pool. Amazing place to relax day and night - my wife and I come here often and this time brought our new baby and he loved it too

South Beach Sensation
We had 2 free days in Miami before having to attend a convention at a different hotel in the city. We chose to stay at the Raleigh in South Beach for our free time, and it could not have been a better choice! The Raleigh is a mid-sized boutique Art Deco building, whose rooms have maintained their original charm with modern upgrades for comfort and convenience. We had an ocean-view room on the 4th floor that did not disappoint. That room also overlooked the pool area. We put the Raleigh's resort fee to use right away, jumping at the chance to jump into the pool and then into the ocean. Staff was friendly and helpful, from the towel attendants, to the servers, to the front desk. I would recommend the Raleigh to anyone, and would relish a chance to return.

A weekend getaway
We loved this old charming hotel, with in walking distance of great restaurants & shopping.We paid for an upgrade to the penthouse suites there are 3, and it includes 2 huge private balconies one with city of Miami skyline, one of the beach & pool area, you it also had a nice large master bathroom with separate tub/shower. The staff was very friendly & helpful...I'd stay here again...Pool did need some attention as far as cosmetics though.

The lobby and other public areas are very good as is the staff and service. However, the room (a superior king) was tired and dated. The wardrobe was tiny and the decor so so. The bathroom was large but also dated. The shower spray was weak.

Miami Beach Hotel To Stay!
This hotel is a great place to stay for either a week vacation or a weekend getaway. It has a wonderful pool, where you can just hang out and get sun or have some drinks. The hotel staff is very attentive to everyone. One great thing is that you have access to the beach also. It's also close to wonderful restaurants and where all the nightlife action is at. The only downside is that this hotel does not have vending machines or ice machines on each floor for snacks or cold drinks if who want to get a quick snack. Also it does not have small coffee pots in their rooms. I guess they just want you to pay extra if you ordered it. The hotel features it's art deco charm! One thing I did not like was the cost of valet parking of $42.00 a day plus a 25.00 hotel fee per day on top of that.

Art Deco hotel reminiscent of the early 60's
Terrific hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. Direct access to the beach where you get chairs and umbrellas set out for you. Pool ambiance is great. Rooms are not large but comfortable. Very vintage.

Great Art Deco/Old Holleywood style hotel in SoBe
The Raleigh is a beautiful Art Deco hotel. We loved that is kept in the old style with some modernization in the rooms. With that said, the pool area does need updating with fresh paint and new cushions. Rooms are small but we knew that fact when booking. They accommodated us with an extra rollaway at no charge since my husbands likes to hog the entire double bed which left no room for me. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Loved that we could rent bikes from hotel. Hotel is in a great location...not to far from the hustle and bustle of lower South Beach and near Lincoln Road.

FANTASTIC HOTEL!
Where should I even start!? This hotel was amazing! The staff was very attentive and friendly, the pool and beach (and service at the pool and beach) is PHENOMENAL, the food is fantastic, the drinks are delicious, the location is PERFECT! It's right on the beach, a few blocks away from Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road Mall, and so many shops and restuarants right on Collins Ave. I just love this hotel so much, I wish I could live there!!! Our room was a perfect size for just the two of us. My one and only complaint was the lack of sink space in the bathroom- as it had a pedestal sink, it makes getting ready for nights out a little tough- as you can imagine all the makeup and hair care products us girls use... it's quiet at night, despite the activity and nightlife in the area. And we could control our air conditioning in the room which was also a plus! I highly recommend this hotel!! 5 stars? No- I give this one 10 stars!!!!

Received a call that our room was out of order the day that we were supposed to arrive. They booked a room at a nearby hotel and said to come back to the Raleigh the next day. The Raleigh was to cover the cost of the other hotel for us because of the inconvenience. When we went to Check into The Raleigh the next afternoon they said that we went to the wrong hotel the night before and that we would have to pay for the room, which was $800/night. My boyfriend and I argued with Alex the manager bc we went to the hotel that he advised for us to stay. Nevertheless the Raleigh was not a great hotel.
