“The accommodation is a small studio flat which was well furnished and comfortable. Unfortunately, when the windows opened the road noise is too great to leave open and the room very warm so for me, not comfortable due to being too hot and poor quality sleep. There is a fan but only blowing around warm air so not great. Breakfast was okay but some food not that fresh, some of the rolls were from the previous day and a bit hard and some food put out for the 6am opening and still there an hour or……
“Excellent one night stay over. Very friendly check in and sorted my couple of issues out immediately.
Food was absolutely incredible. Even more so when the cost of 2 courses was just £23. Lamb and mint gravy with the Shepherd's Pie was amazing. Will certainly stay again.”
“Staff were lovely and incredibly attentive- nothing too much trouble.
Amazing breakfast selection- all fresh and cooked to order.
Big room - well maintained- lovely view to garden - we were in Camilla.
10 mins into town but situated in countryside near parks, historic houses and museums. Easy reach for James Cook Hospital.
Lovely country house hotel - obviously newly created in beautiful Edwardian house.
We will be back”
“Check in supposed to be 4pm and still trying to contact landlord at 4.30pm to gain access.
Smoke detector off wall and sat on stairs, leaky radiator with a glass under to catch drips, damaged flooring. Dirty throughout. Not good.”
“I had a wonderful 5-day stay at Byre Cottage in North Yorkshire. The cottage is beautiful, cosy, and full of character, with a lovely fireplace that made the evenings especially relaxing and warm.
The location is absolutely stunning, set between peaceful farmland and rolling hills, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Waking up to the fresh countryside air and quiet views each morning was truly refreshing.
It’s the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of the Yorkshire countryside”
