BASIC accommodation value for money we didn’t expect luxury at that price and only wanted a clean secure place to stay which it was . The property was very poor at communication prior to our stay and needs to get up to date (eg use what’s app and respond to messages )

Don’t book!!! horrible experience, fraud!!!! attention!!!!!! Upon booking, the host and Expedia failed to mention anywhere on the website that check-in would be impossible after 9:00 PM! The only information provided was a vague suggestion to contact the host in advance if planning a check-in after 8:00 PM. This lack of clarity resulted in a nightmare situation when my bags were stolen, and I found myself stuck at the Venice police station with no way to make it to Milan before 8 PM. So I texted the host at 4:15 PM. But he didn’t write back. I got a little panicked. To make matters worse, when I finally got hold onto the host at 6:30 PM, he informed me of an additional charge for check-in between 8 to 9 PM and an outright refusal of any check-in after 9 o’clock. This shocking lack of transparency became the host's justification for denying a refund, leaving me stranded and furious. Expedia's initial lack of intervention in this matter was disappointing, forcing me to deal with their unhelpful customer service upon my return to New York. The first agent I spoke to was uncooperative, repeatedly citing the nonrefundable room policy and interrupting me when I tried to reason with the host on a three-party call arranged by Expedia. It wasn't until I demanded to speak with a supervisor, after raising my voice in frustration, that I finally secured a refund from Expedia.

Warning!! This property is NOT what the pictures present when booking! We arrived at midnight after a full day of travel and location and entry were somewhat confusing. There was NO hot water to shower when we arrived!!! Bedding was stained and had hair on it—disgusting! Room is small and not appropriate for a family of 5. Management did not mention on booking site that if you check in after 8:00pm you will be charged an additional $50, and will have to take a taxi 10-15 minutes away from the facility to register and get the key. This is incredibly inconvenient and UNSAFE when you arrive at 11:00pm with a family. When we contacted management to cancel they refused!!! Management had no concerns about a family waiting over 45 minutes at the train station while a family member went to register, come back, and then walking at midnight to find an apartment in the dark! Terrible…Terrible…Terrible! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

This guest did not understand the conditions he had booked as he expected to check-in at midnight when our reception closes before that time. He didn't realise what apartment (address) he had booked and had not even seen the photos of his apartment on Expedia. Once you select an apartment from the list displayed during your search on Expedia (Hotels.com or Orbitz), you can see the photos of that particular apartment type. You can also see the address of any particular apartment type.

Beware: if you are booking this hotel because it’s close to Centrale train station, IT IS NOT. The address is of the check in office. You will then be told to travel 1.7 KM to Via Pola, 19. I specifically booked this hotel for its proximity to the station because my sister is handicapped and has difficulty walking. I think this is deceitful and just wanted to alert others!

We manage apartments close to the Centrale station in via Pergolesi 31 were most of our apartments are and where our reception is and four apartments in via Pola 19. Via Pergolesi is a five minute walk to the station and via Pola is a ten minute walk to the station. To be precise, the distance from our apartments in via Pola to the Centrale station is exactly 1km. Our apartments in via Pola are clearly marked with both Via Pola in their name and the address is specified in the 'address' field, meaning that Frank confused the address of our reception with the adress if the apartment. The distance from our reception to via Pola is 1,5km as it isbin the opposite side of the station..If you don't want to book an apartment in via Pola, nust make sure you don't see Pola in the apartment's name, as all apartments in via Pola are clearly marked in their name as belonging to that address

Upon checkin the first thing I asked was to confirm there are 2 king beds as this is why I specifically chose this apartment. The receptionist informed me there is one king and one sofa, so the advertising for this property is incorrect as THERE ARE NOT 2 KING BEDS. When we entered our apartment the sofa bed wasn’t made up so I had to look for the linen and make it up myself. The king bed that was there was as hard as a rock. Literally I woke up with a sore back. The air con in the room with sofa bed wasn’t cooling well. The other one worked ok. The iron cord was not safe. All frayed, wires exposed. Location is good close to station but to be honest I couldn’t wait to leave.

Extremely Disappointing Experience Unfortunately, our experience with this property was not only disappointing, but also the worst ever. The primary issue lies in the cancellation of one of our rooms from part of the property, for which we did not receive any refund. This led to a great deal of inconvenience, compounded by the poor service and extremely unprofessional communication from the property management. Our first night was a disaster. Despite our efforts to communicate almost a day in advance of our travel, we did not receive any response. This lack of communication resulted in not being able to access any of the rooms that we had booked. Left with no other option, we were forced to stay at a nearby hotel at our own expense, for which the property refused to provide a refund. Overall, the experience left us feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. We were not treated with the respect or professionalism that one should expect when booking a property. We strongly recommend potential guests consider our experience before deciding to stay here.

This guest booked a non-refundable rate and pretended a free cancellation. Furthermore for the remaining apartments that he booked he arrived after midnight, when our offices are closed. He then pretended a refund of that night, even though we had kept the apartment available to him. Even though as no-show he had technically cancelled his reservation, we did admitted him the following day. What this guest claims is clearly false, because having booked through Expedia, if what he claims were true, Expedia would have refunded him.

This guest booked for five persons and showed up in six: therefore we charged him a supplemento for the extra guest. All our apartents are covered by our WiFi network which we offer for free included in the rent.

All our apartments are energetically independent from each other. Hot water is produced in hot water balloons of 80 or 100 litres that take between 45 minutes to one hour to heat up from when they are cold. In general we turn on the electricity and the hot water a couple of hours prior to check-in, so that our guests find the water hot when they arrive. In your case, you were a last minute booking and you turned on the electricity and the hot water boiler when you entered the property: this means that you had to wait one hour prior to getting hot water (not five).

Did not receive the accommodations I booked and paid extra for. Two king sized beds are not the same as one double bed and one sofa bed. Manager said he had no authority to change my room. Did not attempt to help, I tried for 5 hours to get some resolution and was told by the manager that Expedia mis translated the listing and when I contacted Expedia they said the manager told them I received the correct room with double beds. I clearly did not. I had 5 people in my party and beds for 4. Manager did not even tell us about the extra bed even when he came up to the room to look for it. We ended up finding it by mistake and had enough beds for my party but we’re greatly disappointed in the communication and the hotel’s unwillingness to help us. We also observed another gentleman with this same problem in the managers office at the same time we were informing management about our incorrect room. Do not book with this apartment hotel. It’s cheap, yes. It’s next to the bus station, yes. You will be dissatisfied in the run down unkempt state of the apartment as well. Not at all worth it if you don’t receive the room as advertised. Beware.

This guest stayed at the room she booked. She thought she had booked a different room type and both our reception and Expedia's customer service confirmed her that she was staying were she had booked. Reading between the lines, she 'confesses' that 'by mistake' she 'found' the third bed for the fifth person (in total at her apartment there were two double beds and a single bed). Expedia's listings correctly reflect our apartments, but if you are in doubt, don't hesitate to contact us or Expedia, before booking.

This person did not show during our regular opening hours and had not requested a late check-in either, and is now complaining that we left him out in the cold. According to Expedia's own regulations this review should not even been shown, as this was a no-show and did not comply with the terms of his reservation (due to his own fault) and is blaming his problems on us.

This place is the worst place in Milan i booked. We arrived to the place no one open the door for my us. I inform them my arrival time, i have kids and elderly traveling with me in that cold place, we tried to emailed and call the number they post it outside the building the number is incorrect and the email is postmailer its undelivered email. We have no place to stay we tried to wait for another hrs but no one response to us. So we end up booking another hotel to stay for just 1 night cause we have early train for the next day, to our next destination. Tried to contact customer service here in Expedia but they said they cannot do anything as the booking already ongoing. the property dont care if the guess arrived or not, they just collect payment. I already paid for this property ahead of time and no instruction given. I highly Dont Recommend this Property. Every irresponsible.. i feel this property is a Scam.

As this person is clearly stating in his review, he did not stay at our property because he did not show for check in during the booked check in reception hours. He also complains that we did not answer the phone or respond to emails while our office was closed (he did not warn us in advance). The fact that Expedia could not help this person in any way clearly shows that his claims are not founded. Since Expedia usually doesn't publish reviews of persons that didn't show and hence didn't comply with the terms of their reservation, we kindly ask Expedia to remove this review which unjustly sheds a bad light on us, even though we complied with all the terms of this reservation.

Hello Roxie, thank you for taking your time to leave a review. We checked the aircon at your apartment and it is working properly. For us cleanliness is of foremost importance and if a guest finds that the apartment is not perfectly clean upon check-in we encourage our guests to notify the reception and they will send immediately someone to remedy. During the period of your stay there have been power outages in the whole block of the Centrale station which are not related to our property specifically, but to the whole area of Milan (probably due to the strong usage of aircon during the heat wave).

I'm an Orbitz platinum VIP member, I had a really bad experience with this reservation. The house was in a very poor condition, the sofa bed was very dirty and not a sleeping condition sofa bed. The owner was rude and charged us an extra fee for using electricity ($10/day) and a late fee charge. This house should not be listed on Orbitz as it does not meet the Orbitz website standards.

Dear Hedieh, despite being a VIP member you apparently didn't take your time to verify what you booked. You pretended to arrive after our closing time and are complaining for a €30 late check-in fee. You are writing that the owner was rude, but apparently did not understand that he did you a favour checking you in late as this is not our obbligation. You used the air conditioning and are complaining for the air-conditioning charge which is clearly posted on Expedia & Orbitz. Air Conditioning is billed according to consumption at 1 euro/hour. If you spent 10 euros per day, that means that you run the AC for ten hours each day. As concerns the sofa bed, we have verified it both during and after your stay it was and still is in good condition. For us cleanliness is of foremost importance and if there is anything not to top standards our guests can report to the reception on the ground floor of our apartments and we will immediately send someone to fix any problem.

This property was affordable and very close to the Milan train station in walkable distance. Amenities were great except that the washing machine in my room would not turn on. Everything else was fine. Wifi was good and the air conditioner was great, especially for the summertime. I would stay here again.

It was a last minute booking but the staff was onto it quick and fast, providing us a great room when our train had canceled and we were tried from the previous trip. It was also right next to the train station making it easy for us to head out the next morning.

Beware When Pre-Paying (Non-refundable)
Firstly the apartment was in a good location next the station, clean and felt reasonable safe in the area. If you're going to book the non refundable offer make sure you pay up front and not on arrival. On arrival the rental company claimed they should have already been paid before I arrived and then tried to make me pay the daily rate. Even though the booking clearly showed I was meant to pay on arrival. Luckily Hotels.com helped resolve this but still had to pay more than double the original price.

Why are you saying that we are thieves and taking advantage of travellers? If you have been charged anything by Hotels.com please contact us directly and let us know. Since we didn't take anything from you I fear that probably someone else might have taken something off you saying it was our fault...

This selection was made based upon using the Expedia Map showing properties close to the main railway station as I needed to travel every day to Lugano. When I arrived at the property I was informed the Annex was some 1.4 KM away this location was not indicated in the Expedia app or reference to the distance from the main location. The property (Zara) has broken / cracked work surfaces, dirty walls, cracked walls, shower hoses that cannot fix the shower head in one location, dirty sofa. The pictures on the Expedia site are impressive they do not represent the Zara apartment. Despite my complaints the owners and Expedia done nothing, I am now taking other action to solve this miss sell.

Evidently you had nor realised that we rent apartment in various locations around Milan's main railway station Centrale. Our main builidng with the reception is in via Pergolesi 31 and our annex building is in via Pola 19. Via Pergolesi is a 5 minute walk to the station and via Pola is a ten minute walk to the station, The apartment in via Pola are clearly marked both with the name 'via Pola' in the apartment's name and also as 'annex building'. Cleanliness is of foremost importance to us and the fact that you saw dirty sofas and even dirty walls clearly indicates a dissatisfaction from the fact that you had booked an apartment in a different location from where you thought you had booked.

As soon as you notified us of the problem with the sofa bed we fixed it so that you could use it and sleep on it. We ordered a new one and as you might imagine it took a couple of days until they delivered it. We also immediately fixed the issue (limescale deposit) you reported with the faucet. I am sorry you were not completely satisfied and hope to be able to make it up to you on your next visit.

Location: good, near to train station and supermarkets. Room condition: average, was not happy with the rooms. We thought there was supposed to be 2 bedroom, instead, its only 1 bedroom, the other so called bedroom was in the living hall n using sofa bed which was old n shaky. Abit inconvenience caused. Staff service was good.

Our apartments are clearly marked as either stuxios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The price varies with the size.
