The staff is very nice and helpful. The property has charm but is old and more like a 3 star hotel. We had bugs in the closets, and barely any water pressure in the shower, AC was non existent. The biggest challenge is the noise. Ambulances go by all day and night to a nearby hospital and the streetcar creates a small earthquake every time it rumbles by, it feels like there is a train running through the lobby. I appreciate the staff however this would not be a return destination for us

The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great hotel fairly close to the Duomo

Excellent concierge services from staff assisting with last minute reservations on Thursday and Friday nights. We were very happy with the restaurant recommendations. Very friendly. Small, charming and intimate NOT big, corporate and impersonal. Great if you like to explore by walking. We only used taxis from/to the train station. Many thanks to G for all her help.

Location good. Parking not good and expensive. No TV. No shower gel. Had to move rooms because of a dog continuously yapping next door. No occupants so maybe it was the hotels dog?

Dear Ash,Thank you for your feedback.This is not the experience we want you to have and that is the reason why we were happy to move you within 30 minutes from your check in into a different room offering you a room with a free upgrade two floors up so you could enjoy a more peaceful stay.We also wanted to reassure you the hotel owns no pets.We also noticed you mentioned the TV wasn't working: we check all electrical before guest's arrivals to ensure everything is in good working order so we aren't sure what happened with the TV. We have a handyman on-site so if this ever arises the best thing to do is let us know so we can have this looked into for you.Thank you again for your feedback, we are looking forward to welcoming you again in the future.

romantic hotel
charming little hotel in an old private house in the middle of Milan next to Lascala. you can walk any where and you can take the tramway also. a lot of restaurant around. and the service was exceptional and ready to help.

Our family of four had an excellent time here. The people that worked here were so lovely and very helpful. We received a cake one morning for my husbands birthday, what a lovely surprise. I highly recommend. Glenda was awesome and gave us great tips on where to go. We will definitely return.

We loved the old world charm of this hotel. The breakfast, delivered to your room, was a delight each morning. The jacuzzi tub was a lovely surprise. We enjoyed the large balcony and views of the city.

The folks running the property are very kind and accommodating. However, the hotel is on a busy street that gets quite loud. The wifi here is essentially non-functioning at 1Mbps. Do not expect to stream or make calls - even simple websites take a long time to load. There are also no window screens in a mosquito town.

Unplanned stay for 3 nights
This was last minute emergency accommodation chosen due to its location to Australian consulate. Bed was very comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly. Didn't expect breakfast delivery which was a substantial meal - just small Continental. Would prefer to dine in a breakfast area to meet fellow hotel guests. Although hotel was apparently quite full, I saw no one other than staff. Guest have separate spaces to go to. Great location for Duomo, cafes and restaurants 15 - 20 mins walk.

Loved this little gem and will definitively be staying here again when in Milan! The breakfast was delicious! It was charming and clean! My friend and I walked everywhere from hotel. Good location if you enjoy walking!

My favorite hotel in Milan. It is absolutely adorable . The staff is incredibly friendly and warm and every single room is splendid. The breakfast they serve in your room is also truly a special experience!

Easily one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! They’ve done an excellent job of updating a spectacular old mansion into a modern hotel, without eliminating all the charm and history. I can’t imaging a better way to stay in Milan. I’d highly recommend!!!!

My husband and I booked a 6 night stay at the Petit Palais de Charme for our first time in Milan. We stayed in a deluxe double room which was perfect. The hotel was not serving a buffet breakfast in a dining room so instead, they served us a large spread by room service each morning. Our room was quiet with the windows shut and as the building is older you can hear the occasional creak or water from a neighboring room but nothing that disturbed us (and I am a very light sleeper) What really set our stay apart was the front office agent, Elena. She was so incredibly welcoming and helpful. My husband and I are learning Italian and the time she took speaking with us was a highlight to each day. She was a wealth of information on Milan and its history. She also went above and beyond researching interesting things for us to explore around the city. She recommend some of the best restaurants we dined at. All activities and places we would not have otherwise found. We highly recommend it.

The hotel is quite charming and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was included in our stay and was served in our room which was spacious compared to other European hotels we have stayed in. The was very helpful in orientating us to our surroundings and going above and beyond in helping us with dining reservations. Wonderful!

Dirty, old and kind of hot
The rooms were really old fashioned, which would have been fine, but the reason that they were old fashioned is that the actual furniture and everything in the room has been in there a really really long time. The upholstered headboard had sweat stains from decades of guests' heads, the walls had stains, overall just really not clean. Also, we were there in July and the air conditioner barely worked. The people at the hotel were really nice though.

I stayed in the top floor, suite 19 and it was incredible, furnished with period pieces and very nicely put together. An additional surprise was a large balcony with a table and chairs, plants and flowers and a beautiful view. In addition, the hotel is clean and up to date ( an old converted convent with a USB connection for night time charging right next to the bed!). There was nothing I needed and every little detail was attended to. In addition, all of the staff here were so helpful and attentive. The included continental breakfast was a beautiful selection of breads, croissant, fruit, eggs, coffee and juice - a generous meal for sure, delivered each morning to my room! I couldn’t recon this hotel more highly. Also very close (10-15 min walk) to the Duomo and the Navigli areas.

Affordable Luxury
Of all the boutique hotels in Europe I have stayed this one is the best! I had a suite on the top floor. The suite was larger than most small apartments. I enjoyed the hot tub, the private terrace, and the breakfast served in my room every morning at exactly 8AM. The suite and the whole hotel is tasteful in its decor, giving an authentic and elegant Old World style to the restored interior. Check in was a breeze, the location is perfect (Duomo is a ten minute walk North), and the staff (especially the charming gentleman who presided over check in during the day) are very friendly and extremely helpful. With no reservations I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. I already booked another stay. And best of all, the price is so very reasonable.
