“The property is in a secluded area but it's easily accessible. The reservoir is within a short walk and we saw more animals and birds than people, which is a plus for us! The lodge was clean and very well appointed. Although it was just the two of us and our pup, we could have easily accommodated many more comfortably. “I had a wonderful 2 night stay at this cabin, It is in a beautiful, quiet and peaceful location. The cabin is well appointed, the bed is comfortable, and everything was clean, cozy, and and welcoming. Its just a short walk down a hill where you can sit and have a cup of coffee or a beer to watch the beavers busy at work while you take in the sights. The scenic hike up to the snowfield was super fun, a must do while in the area! I will certainly consider staying here again!”

“We booked the Bailey Escape for a weekend getaway with another couple and their daughter. The place was perfect - spacious, quiet, and well set up for families.The kitchen had more than just the basics, which made group meals easy. We really appreciated the highchair, board games in the living room, and the gas grill for dinners.Great spot for a laid-back nature escape that works for babies through pre-teens while still giving the adults room to relax. Definitely recommend for family trips.”

“We stayed here for the week of Christmas, with plans to ski for a few days in Breck. This house was AMAZING. The hosts were incredible with decorating the house for Christmas and it had the best warm and cozy feeling. I also appreciated the availability/communication of the property manager. Truly a home away from home. Plenty of great games and movies to cozy up by the fire with. The pictures don’t do this place justice. The views from living room/backyard are breathtaking. “Perfect cabin and treehouse! The most relaxing and adventurous place we have been! My husband did find buried treasure with the provided metal detector! 2010 silver dollar by the creek! We also dug up a square frying pan! Added it to the stack of metal and we found a quarter and a nickel! Possibly found a wee bit of gold specks while panning in the creek! Found both scavenger treasure! Those kept us busy! The mountains are absolutely stunning in that area! The place is amazing and the owners...

“We stayed one night, the location was perfect for our travel. There is interstate close by, ear plugs are provided. This is pet friendly and we slept comfortably. Would stay again in future. We did eat dinner in Idaho Springs which was just few miles away, didn't see as many food options in Dumont. ”

“If you ever need a break from the metro area, this cabin is perfect! Less than two hours from Denver but you feel so much farther. This cabin has beautiful views, comfy furnishings, and access to Fairplay for any food or beverage needs. I really loved my stay, especially the fireplace heater, and will definitely return!”
