I’ll preface this by stating that if you’re a budget traveler or in a pinch with no others options, this property may very well work for you. Unfortunately, for my family and our extended stay here, this property had a lot of issues that negatively impacted our time in Moses Lake. When we reserved this property, we didn’t realize that the property also rented out as single rooms. (We reserved the entire house) There is also a separate rental unit on the side of the house. We could hear that tenant at night snoring through the shared LR wall. The three bedrooms had digital auto-lock doorknobs, so every time one of the doors would accidentally shut, we’d have to look-up the code to get the door open. When we arrived, we immediately noticed a musty, mildew mold smell. The property manager responded to this concern by having the bathroom re-cleaned and putting lavender air fresheners in the bedrooms which only made the bedrooms smell ‘musty floral.’ The toilet seal needs replaced as there is a (gross) ring of dried gunk on the floor around the base of the toilet. A large treadmill propped up against the LR wall along with a large un-working tv sitting oddly on the kitchen floor was removed upon request. The corner of the kitchen has a huge stack of old cardboard boxes shoved in the corner along with a pile of old framed wall art. The end of the loveseat was shredded like a dog had chewed on it. The couch had noticable stains on all the cushions. (We covered both with sheets) The DR table top wobbled and the back of one the dining chairs was busted off. The metal bathroom cart was rusty and if you placed anything on it, it leaned forward and tipped over. There was a tall wood home made shelf unit that leaned and swayed so much we asked for it to be removed. My assumption is that all of the furniture was ‘free’ curbside stuff or bought at a thrift store. I’m not being caddy by saying this….its just that all the furniture was in such horrible condition that it seemed as though it was acquired on the cheap with no thought to comfort or how it would appear. We tested covid+ before check-out and informed the Host. He called us days later wanting to know how sick our family was and repeatedly asked what rooms did we occupy while sick. I found this discerning that he appeared to want to immediately rent out part of the house. My intent here is not to exaggerate or to purposely discredit this property, rather give a fair, detailed account of our stay.
