We really felt welcomed by Julie, with prompt and clear replies to our questions. Coming into Le Bastille, it smelt, it felt and it looked clean, .... but not spartan. This had a object of interest that fitted in to that corner and off that hook without feeling in the way or obtrusive (but what ya head on the shelf above the stove :) ). We felt connected the the traditional Australian country life but also there was a nod to the 'other' (overseas and far away, boy! does that resonate these days). Anyway that's probably too much info. We recommend The Bastille of Mudgee!
