Aesthetically amazing, the motel was great. The no outside food or drink policy was a bit silly, especially since the food was little to none and I have a food allergy. Staff was very pleasant, no one went above and beyond but it is the slow season so we seemingly had the place to ourselves and there was little staff around.

Absolute gem. Time capsule. Funky. It was amazing. Pictures don’t do it justice. The staff were awesome people to work with. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else if I’m coming back to Nashville.

Housekeeping did our room once during a 4-night stay, and that was only after we asked them to. Pool was fairly dirty and completely unheated. Bar open very limited hours. In an area with no other bars/nightlife, so that’s understandable. The aesthetic is very charming and a hipster’s paradise. Nice to stay outside of the downtown area and where there are no children. This place has a lot of potential, and for a lot of people it’s clearly a favorite.

Such a cool spot to stay. Nicely fenced in and beautiful lawn. My fur babies loved running in the yard. Beds were comfy, and the vibe was great!

I enjoyed my stay from start to finish. I was a solo traveler and I was definitely not disappointed in my stay. There were no surprises. everything I saw online was exactly what It was! I found myself going back to my hotel early. just to enjoy it. The bar, pool area a rooms. Are so unique. But close at 10pm. I will definitely be going back! I stayed on a Monday and Tuesday. Anywhere I wanted to Uber. It was under $10. Mostly $6 to $7. And the dive in motel is free parking, if you online and going through hotels and motels. And you see this place. And it looks fun to you. BOOK it! Because I definitely was not disappointed.

Definitely a no
The motel is not very well kept. Room was small, poor lighting, no TV or closet. Definitely not what I was expecting for the price, almost $300 per night.

We had soooo much fun! I’ll never stay anywhere else when in Nashville! You don’t even need to leave the motel because it has everything you could want right there! The Cuban food truck they had there was the best food we ate while in town! The pool and the bar were fun and the vibes were immaculate! The party switch and the music options in the room were great! 100000/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a good time!

We were in town for a concert at Nissan Stadium so selected the Dive Motel for its location and unique vibe. I'm sorry others who have left reviews had a less than stellar experience because we LOVED our stay. Our room -- which was a king room by the pool -- was clean and comfortable (although could use a small table or dresser to store suitcase/clothes). We LOVED the vintage vibe (yay disco ball!). Wi-Fi was great. Bar was a fun hang with good drinks. Food truck had tasty food. The staff was very nice & accommodating -- were always available to answer any questions. I even got some excellent recs for good vintage stores in the area! The location was convenient to downtown and anywhere East Nashville. It's not in the best area so don't recommend walking but that's not a big deal. If you're looking for a Marriott or Embassy Suites, this hotel is not for you. If you dig staying in a unique place with vintage character that's inclusive and fun -- then the Dive Motel is your spot!

Fun fun fun fun. The absolute best staff. Way above the bar we set for this spot. Must go crazy in the warmer months. Unfortunately we forgot our ice skates to use the pool. Lucy, Emily, Pat & Becca - I wish I remembered everyone’s names. Food was fantastic. For a place with a younger vibe we felt totally at home. (We are in our 50’s) Will be back during the summer months!!

Incredibly cool retro vibe and the staff was amazing. Probably a bit more chill in February than the summer months, where it looks like it they are geared up for some fantastic parties. Definitely coming back next time we're in town!

Party like it's 1970
The Dive Motel is living its vibe! We had a great stay, overall. The room was comfortable and the 'party switch' is a fun addition! The location leaves a little to be desired, but once you walk in the door it's party time! Is it a bit loud and over the top, yes, but is it Nashville, yes!

A Unique Stay!
This place looked so understated from the street that when I arrived, at first I worried I'd made a mistake. But this place is so darn unique. The 70s decor is just fabulous. While our room was poolside we didn't really have the noise issue others had reported, but we were there mid-week. Music selection in the pool area and on the in-room radio had us bopping. Only downside for our stay was that the hotel restaurant was closed, so there was no food onsite. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but not particularly luxurious (the bathroom is minimalist), but the styling is so much fun you won't care. Friendly hotel and bar staff. We absolutely loved our stay here!

You get the full dive experience. It’s in a not great part of Nashville. But you pay to stay!! Rooms are not cheap drinks are even more expensive! Min $10 a drink at a dive Motel. Not what we expected. And then they double charged our drinks to our room. That also sucked. Very disappointed in our stay. We definitely could’ve found a cheaper hotel that we could’ve been disappointed to stay in.. Lol

Hi Michael, we are sorry that your expectations were not fully met! We had hoped refunding a full night of your stay for the pool being down for maintenance would alleviate some of your frustrations. And again we apologize for the accidental charges for your minibar. One of our staff overlooked the note about us removing the minibar drinks from your room in order to accommodate the extra space you wanted in the fridge. The refund for that should have hit your bank account by now; let us know if you require further assistance.

This place was so unique and fun. The staff was so nice. Property was clean. If you want the usual cookie cutter hotel, this is not your place. But, if you want something different and adventurous, this is your place. We loved all the 70's style decorations everywhere, the bar, the hot tub, the music...You'll never forget your stay here. Trust me!

Groovy Vibes
Super fun stay in East Nashville. We loved the environment and the staff was very friendly. Be aware that the rooms aren’t super soundproof to the outside, but they do leave you earplugs to help with that. The party switch is super fun and rounds out the vibe of the hotel. It’ll be our first choice when coming back to Nashville.

No Escaping Party in the U.S.A.
For those looking to party all day and all night, this is probably your spot — for anyone looking to relax, at all, I'd head elsewhere. Rooms run alongside a small pool, with lots of beach chairs, a few reserved cabanas, and either a DJ blasting music or the pool speakers churning out a modern playlist. On Saturday, the whole area was swamped with people from 11am until sundown. Because of the rooms' proximity to the pool there's no escaping the sound. Also, most rooms don't have a television, and the WiFi is very, very weak, so distracting yourself isn't really an option. After sundown, the music continued until 10pm-ish (when we asked if it could be lowered), and Sunday was a similar scenario. Also, the rooms are clean, but the electric is inconsistent: Our room had a light that worked about half the time, and our A/C unit stopped running for about two hours, until it randomly started up again.

Hi! We understand the Dive is a unique experience that isn't for everyone as we are located in an old establishment with lots of found well loved old decor and furniture (No tvs in sight!). I think you are exactly right that the experience surrounding the Dive is driven more by fun rather than read a book by the pool relaxing. Amazing Spot, will be back.
This was so fun and unique! We came with a group of friends and just had a blast! Service was great! This is a fun Motel, I would not suggest coming on a business trip or if you are looking for a quite stay. My only suggestion is around food. I would partner with a couple of close spots who will do free delivery-especially for people staying there and for breakfast (NO options at Motel or close by). Also, I would add hot dogs and hamburgers to the food menu. Not everyone wants Mexican while hanging at a pool and for guests staying there. Got kinda gross after a couple days.
