Motel was pretty much as advertised. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable. It’s still winter up here, so heat was off (we only made reservation 30 minutes before arrival) but room heated up quickly. There was a reasonable pet fee charge that Expedia had not listed, but still total room cost was ok.

Our annual vacations are always a delightful experience because we choose to stay at the Adoba Hotel. The amenities and services provided by the Adoba are top-notch and leave us feeling relaxed. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas is impressive, and the staff is courteous and helpful. Ore first room was freezing, 50 degrees, and the heater was only putting out the faintest of warmth. The second room set at 60 and the heater was better but still took quite a while to warm the tiny room. If you know you have reservations turn on the heat! Particularly in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in February. The shower took so long to warm up in the morning that we almost gave up but, finally got hot but, still no pressure. The parking lot even in this winter with little snow was ice covered and treacherous. The only outlet that was accessible was outfitted with a plug to increase the number of outlets so there was 2 useable if you unplugged the fridge and microwave. The breakers in the room are ancient and we were glad the heater ran almost nonstop because when it kicked on, the lights would flicker. And last but not least someone had taken a poo in the bathroom and, it required 3 flushes before our unwanted guest would leave us.

We are sorry you felt the need to write a bad and quite frankly untruthful review after getting you in with your last minute reservation 3 times. Yes we do not hear our rooms at 75 when they are empty during the winter. We keep them at a normal temp and warm them for all reservations coming in that afternoon. The rooms do not take very long to warm up. You stated you were in the room 3 minutes before you requested a new room. You also were moved to a room with a PTAC unit immediately when asked. You were happy with that in the text because you loved PTAC units. We can not control weather here and with all the freezing and thawing and coming off a sold out weekend we can’t always control the parking lot. I also told you that I was moving you to the cabin side. Our breakers are fine and actually work great for the age of the building! We tolerate a lot in our slow season and with the strange weather this winter we try to stay open for travelers like you. Unfortunately it’s guests like you that we also do not like to be open in the winter! I’m sorry that you are such a negative person and we hope you find your perfect place. Please do not make it here in the future! Good luck!

Worked out well for us for the event we attended. It was nice they left the key in the room for us and texted that it was there and room was ready. There isn’t enough plugs in the room. Shower was cold. Did not get hot at all. But other then that will stay again.

Staff was nonexistent except for one woman that was there at checkout to clean. She suggested a restaurant for breakfast that was closed. Two towels per room for two people. Microwave in room that you had to move to plug in. Coffee pot in room but you had to either put it on the floor or move a chair over to the outlet to use it. I opted not to use it because the cups were not wrapped.

Mary we have sent you a message. We are not sure why you choose to keep staying if you are so unhappy. Again, please stop staying at our motel if you are this unhappy! Although I am positive this happens often with you. We have hard working individuals that care about customer service! We run a clean motel comfortable motel in the Upper Peninsula. Older Hotel. Room was very clean with no offensive odor. Would recommend lighter decor colors to brighten the room and a higher toilet (sat a bit lower than the 'norm').

No staff on site,key was left in room. No problem with that. Room was clean and comfortable, basic only. Small fridge and microwave,no coffee in room or on site. No breakfast of any kind as office and exercise area/ hot tub were locked. Lack of a safety latch on the door was a concern,even though this is a safe area. Highly overpriced for what we got. Cable was good. Office was closed in the morning(11 am )when we left.

Good enough
The place was dirty bedspread was stained ceiling tiles warped looked they might fall any minute. There are no people that work here to check in I also tried stopping at the office before leaving nothing. keys are in rooms with unlocked doors. But it was the only place available within 100 miles last min so I stayed. Normally I would have walked out of a place like this.

This hotel has great possibilities. It is located in a very quiet area near the top of Lake Michigan and across the street from the snowmobile museum (which was terrific!). Never spoke to anyone. everything was done by text, which I found very strange. even when we had a problem with the toilet, the office had a sign to text their number. A little personal interaction would have been great. The room was clean, though the toilet had a small leak and the seat was loose (which I tightened). By text they offered to change us to another room, but we declined and used extra towels and bathmats left outside the door to take care of the leak. There is NO food in the evening or morning near the hotel so be prepared. Also no fridge or microwave. We were able to locate a gas station / convenience store nearby that had a very limited selection of sandwiches and chips for the evening. Across the street was Hiawatha Pasties which opened at 11:00am (Wonderful) which we used for brunch (but they close early) The rooms are comfortable and clean and it is so quiet even the insects did not make noise. Love the hotel, but with a little more personal interaction could be so much better.

PACK EARPLUGS. You will hear everything going on in your neighbors room. Every footstep from the room next door shook our room, you can hear every noise. Check in was convenient but odd; they left our room open with the key inside saying to let ourselves in.

We had let them know when reserving that my husband was wheelchair dependent and that did not seem to be an issue as it was listed as handicap accessible. But just try getting into and using the bathroom using a wheelchair!! Also the transitions into the room were very difficult. We used a walker and wheelchair and managed. They, in summary, have done minimal adjustments for accessibility. The room though was very clean with terrific beds..

Our room was clean but smaller than we are used to. Most outlets are in use. The tv was on the desk so hard to have flat space to prepare meal. We did request frig and microwave which improved our 2 night stay. The A/C worked well, beds were comfortable. Nice older motel.
