Hi All! I wanted to provide some feedback on our CEO's recent stay at The James New York - NoMad. Regrettably, there was an incident involving a cockroach in his room, which was quite unsettling. Additionally, there was an issue with a vendor in front of the hotel who was somewhat intrusive, detracting from the overall experience. Despite these issues, our stay was generally pleasant. We believe it is important to bring these matters to your attention to help enhance the experience for future guests. Thank you for your attention to these matters.

I would have given the property a perfect rating if I wouldn't have had a wet floor the entire stay or a rude person at check in. Otherwise it’s a great nyc hotel…great room size, location, rest of the facility and staff.

This is a very nice hotel with a warmly decorated and comfortable lobby. The room was very nice and extremely, The room was small, which in NYC is expected and totally fine with me. I have never seen such an extensive mini bar! Nothing “mini” about it! Coffee in the lobby from 7-11. Neighborhood is great! Walkable to everywhere! I will definitely stay here again!!

The Staff were the best! The room was excellent very big! The area was. My only suggestion is to put a Nespresso machine in the room. Even though they offer coffee on the lobby it’s not the same to open your eyes and have it in your bed. I would definitely return.

Good option in Chelsea / Murray Hill area. Charming historical exterior, free happy hour every day (wine only!), spotlessly clean. Our queen room was a decent size for New York (i.e. on the small side anywhere else). Bath and shower a bit basic for a property that calls itself "luxury."

Room was super noisy, no proper insolation in the windows. No meeting rooms to use in order to make calls or work. Hot water take forever to start running. Bottom line - not worth the hype and significantly less worth the money compared to my last visit there ~5 years ago.

When I visit NYC I always stay at The James. The location is perfectly situated for walking to midtown, downtown, Chelsea, Murray Hill, etc... Also it is super quiet which is a huge plus for a city hotel. The staff are always helpful, the hotel itself is beautiful, charming, and clean. Lovely every time.

We enjoyed our stay here overall. Though the view wasn’t that great and while the staff was nice and helpful, we asked for a kettle and tea to be sent to our room but only the kettle was delivered to our door no tea so we drank warm water which was fine but we’d have liked the teas. The place was clean and the pillows were nice. The bed was solid for the most part but the duvet wasn’t exactly the right level of comfort too light. I think the place should serve breakfast that’s included in the price would be a lot more enticing for future stays. Great location and very central to the surrounding areas and transportation as well. 4 stars for us I would recommend this place and would stay again but would say some improvements would make it more excellent of a stay.

Not the hotels fault, but the street is half blocked off and it a total pain in the but when waiting for an uber, wish they provided an alternate drop off spot. The room had a bit of a funky smell but was otherwise spotless, the minimal staff I interacted with were very nice and helpful

We stayed in a corner King room. The room was spacious but not large. The room was very comfortable including the mattress and linens.Endless hot water seemed available in the oversized walk in shower. The Lobby of the James has a lively atmosphere but not over the top.. Just right. A popular restaurant and bar is located in the hotel that draws a mostly young crowd... like all of NYC. They do deliver room service !.... In the basement of the hotel is a club that looked pretty hot judging from the clientele. The Club atmosphere does not seep over into the rest of the hotel which we considered a positive but it's there if your in the mood. Free coffee, snacks and wine are available in the lobby at various times of the day. We would definitely stay here again.

Pass on this. Was very much looking forward to my trip but just found the hotel to be drab. Lobby is nice enough but everything is so muted and barely lit, it feels like a Soviet hotel. Definitely NOT worth a daily $50 resort fee. There is nothing remotely that feels like a resort. Pros - Spacious room and personnel are nice Cons - Shower was the worst I've ever had - Im guessing its a water regulation style and Im from California so used to that. This was barely enough dribbling out to get the shampoo out of my hair. I literally had to unscrew the shower handle and just use the bare hose end. Towel ring worn and chipped Garbage can rusting - use a liner! Iron had some adhesive on the surface and it ruined one of my shirts Paint sloppily on the window sills. Drab and depressing lighting
