“I cannot say enough good things about this property from all the wonderful surprises (stocked coffee bar, complimentary toiletries, plenty of towels for a family of 5) to it being even more spacious than the pictures made it seem! Overall, this was the perfect getaway as we spent a couple days enjoying the backyard and water and then spent a couple days sight seeing making the about 2 hour drive into DC and the short 20 minute drive to Washington's birthplace right in Montross. “A gorgeous property perfect for a quiet getaway from the city noise. The cottage is very charming, and perfect for two people. Very clean, accommodating, private and peaceful. The private beach is beyond charming and the local spots are amazing. We recommend the frying pan and highly HIGHLY recommend the spider hall farm stand (get the apple cobbler). Nonetheless the cottage is truly amazing and a perfect get away. ”

“I was in the area for one night for business and had my young granddaughter with me. The room was very comfortable and well furnished. Lots of apps available on the TV. Location is close to plenty of restaurants and the beach. The continental breakfast was very nicely set and had lots of variety. I plan on coming back NOT for business just so I can enjoy another stay. Highly recommend.”
