The resort is lovely, the staff provided excellent service so would recommend. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with one of the tours we booked, the places visited were great but the transport provided (given advertised as a luxury tour) was unacceptable, a rickety dirty taxi! The owner needs to take better ownership of this, we (group of 10) didn’t get a very good result when speaking to him of this.

The manager Surprise stopped at nothing to make us happy and make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Everyone in the staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was incredible, the head chef was fantastic. The location was great, not too far from the park, and we had a few friendly animal visitors.

Everything was perfect. The location, the lodge, and most importantly...the staff! Everyone was so lovely and willing to help, the service was just perfect. We also really enjoyed the food... breakfast and dinner! And of course, the organisation of the Safari's was just perfect! Thanks!

Lovely place, well upkept
Our famly loved the place. Chances are high that you see a lot of animals. The rondavels are very well upkept and spacy, the staff very friendly and helpful. Marloth Park is a very safe and nice area. So, why only four stars? It is the dinner served - somehow the amuse-bouche, the starter and even the main tasted like being directly out of the freezer.

Wild Adventures
Zebra, Wildebeast, Giraffe, warthog all roam freely! This great hotel is located inside a wildlife preserve. A 15 minute drive to the crocidile bridge gate for Kruger, this location is great. The staff and food was great. We felt right at home. The view and the animals that you can see from the streets, rooms, and just walking around is really impressive.

Loved this place!
The most enjoyable stay we've had anywhere in a long time. A beautiful and quiet place. The staff wait on you hand and foot and always seem to be busy doing something to keep the place looking fresh. The chalets are unbelievably clean and well maintained. We were very comfortable. The food is top rate. We especially enjoyed the meals cooked outdoors. One of the unique things about Grand Kruger is the outdoor patio with chairs set in a wide circle around a fire pit. We sat for many hours (sometimes with the owner Leon) just enjoying the sounds of nature and conversations with other residents. I highly recommend the Grand Kruger Lodge, but don't go there with the idea of tvs and internet. Enjoy the surroundings and take advantage of their many trips into the Kruger.

Weekend Holiday
Overall great place to stay for a trip into the Kruger. The food is top quality, but be sure to get breakfast early as the cut-off is 9am. The hot water is "on demand" and can be a little tempermental. The Luxury Bush Camp Suites are excellent and new contruction, unfortunately for our stay, one of the nights we had to stay in the main lodge as there was some off season construction improvements underway. Will definately return when the Bush Camp Suites are available.

Pricing right
The furniture in the entrance is dated, the lodge was under construction the morning we arrived. we were put in a room next to construction so it was banging and drilling, when asked to move it seemed we were being an inconvenience. The room we moved to was ok, lights were very dull? otherwise the other staff were lovely, and the food was great. For the price we paid, it was pleasant.

Lovely lodge close to the entrace of Kruger NP
My friend and I enjoyed a 3 night stay in the lovely Grand Kruger Lodge. The lodge is in Marloth Park in the middle of the beautiful nature and the perfect place for relaxation. The staff is all very helpful and we also enjoyed all our evening meals at the lodge. The lodge has furthermore got a nice swimming pool and are normally putting a lovely fire on every night. Furthermore we had the lodge to arrange a few evening safaris for us, which we really enjoyed very much. During the daytime we drow ourselves to Kruger NP, where the nearest entrance is only 20 minutes drive away. The only minus was the internet connection - which is very slow and extremely expensive - so avoid going online if you can.
