My family and I were headed to the outer banks it’s a long drive so we decided to stop here to break up the trip. Everything at the house was good except the cat pee smell in the main living area. The a/c in the main living area also was not the great we ended up going to buy a small fan for airflow. All and all great place to stay it is close to everything.

Upsides: The house was clean and Andrea communicated well. But there were a lot of downsides unfortunately: -House smelled like weed; thankfully there was a air purifier in the living room (probably for this reason). Not really a family house. -It's across the street from a parking lot for public transportation so headlights were in and out of the windows all night. -4 windows were unlocked when we arrived. -The exhaust fan in the bathroom doesn't work so there's no ventilation after a hot shower (might explain why the window was unlocked). -The bedroom listed as 2 double beds is actually a trundle bed and the trundle is VERY difficult to pull out. -All the blinds were some variation of broken. -You have to contact Andrea to change the thermostat. She replied quickly and supposedly adjusted but it still read 74 degrees when we requested 71. No biggie except for the fact that the air does not seem to blow out of any of the vents in any of the bedrooms leaving it very warm. There are no ceiling fans or box fans either.

Amazing Place to Get Away
A fantastic place for a vacation. 7 of us slept comfortably in it and the place wasn't too far to go to the beach and sightseeing. The Host, Andrea, was super friendly and accommodating, always checking in and making sure we had what we needed. She was prompt to respond to any questions we had, and made us feel like we were staying in a family friends' house. We recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Norfolk.

Andrea was great to work with. Responded immediately to any questions asked. Everything was as described. Place was very clean and perfect for our group of 7. Left snacks for us, a bottle of wine, very nice touch.
