The property was probably beautiful back in the day. All of the details from years gone by are stunning. No expense was spared. However, time has not been a friend to the property. It has so much potential but would take millions to restore it to it's previous glory. I would definitely stay there again as I see the beauty beneath it's age.

We have stayed at this hotel about 6 times. It does need some updating but for the price and location it’s fine. They finally have a restaurant and bar which they haven’t had in years. And it’s an American legend which is great.

Somewhat disappointed
1 the management and the staff was friendly, 2 had to pulled the shower head apart and clean all the rust out of it so it was spray, 3 trash all over the side of the hotel,4 there is no beach access,5 for the price paid did not equal the quality of the hotel itself, the pool had green water, and algae all over the side of the pool

Great place for a good nights rest! Beds were really really firm, but if you like that than that place is the place you want. No elevator, and staying on the third floor is a workout especially after a long day out in the sun.

Always a great stay.
This hotel isn’t anything fancy it’s a room where I can shower, and sleep. Perfect for more time on the beach. Staff always helpful

The room was ok. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. Sara the bartender at the pool was the only good thing about our stay there.

TV didn’t work I tried to contact the front Dess but they don’t have a phone in the room I try to use my cell phone and there’s no signal there no Wi-Fi either, so I went to the front Dess tell them what what’s happening they told me they were going to fix it the next day no one came, so the cleaning lady came to clean the room I tell her to give me five minutes so I can leave the room and she never came back to clean the room I went later that day to ask for a towels She told me to bring the dirty towels so she can wash them for me and bring them 3 hours later, also Pool was dirty.

4 th floor is a bit of a climb. TV from 2001 , pool was nice but a bit dirty , understandable as they had 4 teen soccer teams staying there . Adequate but they could do way better.

We stayed in this hotel 3 nights. We reserved 2 suites it was very spacious. We like it. The hotel does need a lot of remodeling, but if you're not picky it's a nice place to stay.
