We have a professional housekeeping team which goes through every nook and corner in the unit prior to each guest’s check-in. We don’t rely on one person to clean our units but it’s a team of professionals with a checklist and a mission of making every guest experience a memorable one. We have combination locks and we sent you detailed instructions on how to open them. Additionally, our customer service team is available anytime to help with resolving these kind of concerns as well as relocating guests to our other units in case there is any sort of discomfort. Sadly we never received any complaints from you during the length of your stay. I firmly believe that the reason for this review is the call that we had to make to you just after 9pm during which we had to ask you to return to your pet that was left alone in the room. Multiple guests were complaining about constant barking from your room and it was during our quiet hours time. We mention in our house rules on the wall in each room and also in each email communication that pets cannot be left unattended as animals usually get stressed out in a new atmosphere when left alone and starve themselves by continuously barking. This not only causes discomfort to guests staying in other units at the hotel but can also lead to the death of a pet by constant salvation and high blood pressure due to constant barking. We are pet parents ourselves and have gone through multiple experiences where we had to leave our dog back home as the places we booked were not pet friendly. It was out of this concern that we chose to make our entire hotel pet friendly. Our pet fee is a very nominal amount which goes towards deodorizing and cleaning pet hair post each check out. Instead of the intention of making money via pet fees, our goal is to have a place where guests can conveniently enjoy their stay with pets without having to leave those poor creatures alone back home. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and look forward to making the next stay of yours at Wanderlust Inn a memorable one.

Hi Laurie. This is the first we have heard of fleas or the potential presence of mice. We will do a thorough inspect of the unit and treat it accordingly. It is very very unlikely there are any mice though - maybe you heard seagulls on the roof? - because we have a metal a-frame roof that entirely covers this unit and there is no attic. Thank you for the information. Also, we do sincerely apologize for the noisy neighbors. We do have strict "quiet hours" that we expect all guests, including four legged ones, to adhere to. Had we been made aware of the offending party, we would have seen to it immediately. We are sorry that your stay was less than perfect. We do hope that you give us another opportunity to serve you in the future.

We want everyone to be able to easily access their accommodations. As far as the kitchen goes, we try to supply it with what we have in our own homes and make it as convenient as possible.
