Located just up the road from the Russel car ferry this property offers not only amazing views. but modern clean accommodations in a very peaceful residential setting. Our hosts, Ken and Jen were fantastic! With out a doubt I would return on my next visit.

Kanuka Bay Splendour
The stay at Kanuba was even better than provided in the photos. This Bach provides total peace and ultimate relaxation with an awesome view over the Inlet. The place is clean, spacious with all amenities provided in good order. The spa on the deck is an exceptional bonus. The hosts are wonderful and very accommodating. An awesome stay, thank-you.

A lovely property with a incredible view. It is close to Russel and Paihai. You need to take the ferry which is very convenient and runs every 10 minutes (there is an option to drive there but a 20 minute added travel time). The ferry is $17 NZD each way so count this extra cost into the pricing. The property is clean and tidy - the bathroom shower could use a bit of a deeper clean. Everything else was great.

Wonderful
We had a brilliant stay in Jenny’s small but perfectly formed property. The view is amazing. The spa pool was a highlight. The property had everything we needed and was in a very quiet and safe location. Jenny was very helpful. We left an item behind and she kindly helped us arrange for shipping back to our home. We would love to come back and stay again sometime.

Great outlook
A short stay at New Years was very pleasant at this property with our family . The apartment is actually at the end of the hosts house meaning that they do need to walk past the apartment to enter and leave their place. We did get home one afternoon to find the hosts on our deck assembling a new table - it wasn’t a huge issue but would have been nice to have a heads up as we were intending on coming home to have a spa and weren’t comfortable to do that . None of this was a big deal - the hosts were very pleasant , but I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are looking for privacy.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry we disturbed your afternoon plan for a few minutes but we felt that since you were out it was a good time to replace the chairs on the deck with the ones we had just purchased as the fabric on the old ones was starting to rip. The new table came with the chairs . We make a point of not looking into the flat as we pass by and also put the blinds in for guest privacy.

I highly recommend
It's really good. A nice place with an excellent view. I would just ask her beforehand to let me know that we couldn't use antibacterial soap or the dishwasher.

Thank you Everaldo for your review. Just a note, there is no dishwasher listed as being in our flat so yes it would be hard to use. Also the non use of anti bacterial soap is not normally a challenge for guests. Sorry it was a problem for you.

Relaxing Location
Jenny and Ken provide a beautiful space with an updated look including new carpet. It immediately felt welcoming. The views were spectacular day and night whether sitting on the deck, in the hot tub or viewing from the open space living area. It is a great opportunity to have a private and relaxing holiday.

Incredible Okiato Stay
After arriving in NZ and getting our bearings, the Bay of Islands was the first place we visited, and wow! We'd give the location 6 stars! Being able to sit on the deck (or in the hot tub) and watch the sail boat races was priceless. The house had everything we needed, and Russell was a short and scenic drive for groceries or the ferry to Pahia. We would definitely stay here again!

Weekend Getaway
Nice, clean, modern & has everything you need 🙂 The view is amazing, from the green of the mountains to the blue of the water & the boats!! The spa just tops it all off, especially watching the yacht racing on a Friday night 🙂 The hosts are very friendly & approachable!! Recommend coming here for a little getaway & experiencing this slice of paradise 🙂

Excellent property, fabulous view.
Jenny’s place is spotlessly clean and very spacious for a couple or family of four. It is well equipped with everything you need to cook a meal and the beds are comfortable. The view from the deck and indeed the living room is spectacular and the whole area of Russell is gorgeous. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Amazing place & location!
The listing is accurate but I’d say it’s even better in person. Amazing views, great convenient location to move around the Bay of Islands, comfortable couch and bed, fully stocked kitchen we cooked in several times, great hot tub that you can see tons of stars and hear kiwis chirp from at night, free parking, hot shower with good pressure, and best of all quiet and private! The hosts greeted us in person and were very kind and then gave us our space the rest of the time. This place really boosted our trip to the Bay of Islands and I highly recommend.

One of the nicest accommodations that we stayed in New Zealand. A large private deck with fantastic views of Opua and Russell harbor with a Jacuzzi and barbecue. Spacious clean modern kitchen large living room and wonderful hosts. A short drive to Russell and close to the Omata winery. What can be better?

Great home away from home!
Great spot, view amazing and property had everything we needed for our family roadie. Great to be able to have a soak in the spa at the end of a day exploring the region. Only 1min drive to end of road to jump on car ferry and only 8mins to Russell- thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
