This was a great little hotel in a converted house. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There does need to be some updating to the property. My biggest complaint is the parking. There is a small parking area in front of house which is clearly marked for Sonder Wellborn registered guests only. This is not enforced as patrons to the restaurant / bar in back of the property tend to take the spots.

Great stay!
The Wellborn hotel was a great stay overall! The rooms decor is really cute. I really enjoyed working at the kitchen table, I opened the blinds to the beautiful courtyard which made having to work on vacation more enjoyable! The bar at the Wellborn is top notch. Overall proximity to downtown is wonderful as well. We will be back!
When we first arrived it was like finding a little piece of the late 1800's in a modern city. The house that has been transformed into a hotel is very old but also charming. There is a large Victorian front porch on which to relax and once you enter the home a living room to read or work in. The garden area is amazing with several fountains and small pools to explore. Weddings are held in this location which is an indication of the charm.
There were only two drawbacks and I feel that those should have been stated when booking. We booked through Expedia and even though I was told by someone from Sonder Wellborn there was no mention of the fact that there is NO front desk nor is there any cable for the TV. If it doesn't bother you that there is no one to get, for example, directions to an area restaurant than no problem! The only way to "watch" TV is to stream from your phone or computer. There wasn't any clear statement to that, only a message when you turn on the TV that says "Please refresh all channels". When we read the card saying that streaming was done on this TV we sort of figured out how to do that as luck would have it we have subscriptions to some channels. If you aren't familiar with how this is done be prepared ahead of time as don't expect to get help from the non existent hotel staff.
Really, the property is beautiful though and would stay there again.
