"This is a old and historic bed and breakfast with lovely owners. It was a great location for walking downtown. It was cozy for my mother/daughter weekend. The breakfast was yummy and delivered to our door. The only criticism I have is that the cleaning of the bathroom could be improved. Specifically the floor behind the toilet, and the back of the cabinet over the toilet were bad, as if nobody had cleaned there in a very long time. Otherwise, everything was great."

"We had a great stay at this cozy little cottage with our two pups. The check-in and check-out process couldn’t have been easier. There are lots of thoughtful touches like a coffee maker, nice mugs (coffee pods and creamer provided!), and a small microwave and mini fridge. Even water/food bowls and a blanket for pets! Plenty of bath towels, washclothes, etc. are provided, as well as toiletries for the bathroom. There is lots of hot water for the shower and great lighting for getting ready. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Short drive to downtown Placerville. We definitely would stay here again for a short trip!"

"Cynthia and Tom’s slice of heaven is everything they advertise and more! So comfortable and relaxing for the two of us when we come to Placerville to participate in the Home Show every year. The location is perfect, just a bit out of town but literally two minutes from everything. Buttercup pantry has the most outstanding breakfast. You’ll find Tom‘s drive-in has awesome burgers, sandwiches, fries, and onion rings, and their wings are outstanding.This is a must book if you are staying in Placerville"

"The beautiful serenity of Rustic Cabin can't be emphasized enough. It looks rustic yet has good wi-fi and everything needed is supplied; quiet yet stores are not far; clean yet felt homey and comfortable. The view from the patio is gorgeous. Positive reviews are true and to be believed. Phil was a responsive host during the whole process. I definitely hope to return. One hint: take slippers since shoes are off inside."
