Beautiful place in a perfect location
Easy walking access to the beach, Rathtrevor Park and Tigh-Na-Mara. Very bright and well-designed home with all the amenities. Host was very responsive.

Excellent vacation cottage for a big group!
We had a great stay at forest hideaway- were impressed by the arrangement that fit nicely all of us (big group of 6 ppl various age group plus a pet). Clean, tasteful decor, spacious, close to beach, well stocked kitchen, easy check-in/ out process- top marks! Only feedback would be when it is hot - say 20c or so hard to cool the place down without an a/c.

Forest Hideaway in Tanglewood
The property was lovely, in a fabulous location, very close to the beach. The weather was perfect for sitting on the quiet, shaded deck. Our stay was very relaxing. The host, Alexis, responded quickly to any questions we had.

“Forest Hideaway by the Ocean” is the place you want to be for a relaxing vacation
This property is exactly as described on the VRBO site. It is immaculate, comfortable and stocked with everything you would need for your getaway. Located in a beautifully maintained neighborhood, it's close to all the amenities Parksville has to offer and many wonderful restaurants. Rathtrevor Provincial Park is just a couple of minutes walk from the front door, with beautiful coastal walking trails, picnic areas and a beach that stretches for miles. Alexis was a very gracious and accommodating host who promptly responded to any questions we had. We highly recommend this property and definitely hope to stay here again. Perfect Summer Kick-off
This is our second time staying at the Forest Hideaway and it was just as wonderful the second time around. We loved the beach and forest area, and the kids loved the mini golf and ice cream nearby. The unit is well appointed and very comfortable. Thanks for a great stay!

This home was fantastic. We absolutely loved our stay and will most certainly be back! We came with our 2.5 year old daughter and our dog. The home had everything we needed to be comfortable (well stocked kitchen, beach towels, etc.). We packed a wagon for our beach excursions, which was an 8 minute walk down the road. The beach is perfect for young kids! And dogs are permitted while on leashes. Back yard area has a BBQ and hose which were great! And we saw deer most mornings and evenings! Highly recommend - it's a perfect stay.

Lovely place for a getaway
This "cabin in the woods" is exactly as the pictures describe. Spotlessly clean and quiet. A short walk to a sandy natural beach. Surrounded by trees, with a nice restaurant nearby and also close to shopping, takeout etc. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes etc and well laid out for preparing meals and snacks. There were only 2 of us plus our dog, but there is plenty of space/bed options for a larger group. There is absolutely no smoking on the property, grass, roadways etc. So, if like my husband, you enjoy an evening cigarette, you will have to stroll down to the beach. If you are more than occasional smokers, this may not be the property for you. Also, the day we arrived it was very hot. There is no aircon, but the place cooled down with doors and windows open. But there is no fenced area for a dog, so if your dog isn't well trained it would have to be leashed. All in all, highly recommended.

A great long weekend!
We loved our stay in Alexis’ Tanglewood town house during the May long weekend. Everything we needed was there, including some great extras such as fans and beach toys. We loved how close it was to Rathtrevor Beach and Riptide Lagoon mini golf. Alexis sent a great welcome letter prior to our stay that explained everything we needed to know. We’ll be back!
