Beautiful jewel of Lake Orta
Wonderful location on beautiful lake Orta . Great jumping off point to Magiorre or Orta. The poolis wonderful and the lake crystal clear. Highly recommend

Nice hotel with great free parking. We had balcony room overlooking the lake which was excellent. Room was very clean and comfortable. It had a fridge and a kettle but no cups or coffee provided. The pool area is lovely with plenty of sunbeds. You can walk along the lakefront path to the little town of pettanesco. There is a pleasant lake front cafe bar there and another two restaurants in the centre. It is not possible to walk along the road to the main town. All the staff were absolutely excellent, they were hard working, efficient and very friendly, a real credit to the hotel.

Great Hidden Hideaway
Beautiful accommodations! Short distance from the city center, which was a plus since we had a rental car. The only complaint we had was the internet service was very sporadic! If not for that, I would have no complaints whatsoever!

A nice lake weekend
Beautiful spot right on the Orta lakeside with nice pool and peaceful setting. The ferry stops conveniently on the property which is great for traveling to San Guilia and Isola San Guilia. Our room was comfortable although a little dated with a terrible shower head but the lake view terrace made up for it! Staff were generally helpful and accommodating.

Lovely location
The lakeside location of this hotel is the main positive, with a boat service to Orta San Giuilio. Breakfast was ok and the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We ate dinner in the hotel a couple of nights but whilst the food was good it felt a bit over elaborate and we preferred to eat at a more authentic local trattoria.

Hotel should have a lift to rooms on second floor.
Pleasant hotel directly on the lake. Unfortunately, room was on second floor and there was no lift, not good for people with mobility problems.Good breakfast.

Great facilities in delightful location.
Location is wonderful and coupled with this resort type hotel's facilities it results in a wonderful, relaxing experience. I think the lakeside tables on the restaurant terrace or the waterwide gazebo are some or the most romantic in all Europe.

July 1st week the n orta
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, my wife had a knee injury and the staff were very helpful. Would have liked more time to explore. Hotel breakfasts were disappointing for our tastes. Restaurant was good , only grudge was the mosquito never bitten so much whilst on holiday.

Great for a long weekend in Orta
Had a lovely stay here, and was lucky enough to be given a free room upgrade on arrival. Hotel staff were attentive and very helpful, couldn't have asked for more.

A beautiful place to stay with great evening dining. If you stay longer than 1 night though be sparing with your complimentary water & toiletries - those in your room have to last the whole of your stay! Otherwise nice friendly and helpful staff and some of the best food I have ever eaten.

Lakeside hotel
This hotel had a lovely lakeside setting. Although the facility was older, it has been kept in good condition. The woman at reception was excellent. The restaurant was good although breakfast was mediocre. We were overnighting at this location so did not fully utilize the options. The hotel looks as if it would function well as a resort destination in the right season. The only drawback would be its relative isolation when walking.

Beautiful hotel in the centre of Saint-Vincent
We had a great stay at the Hotel L'Approdo. The rooms were well set up, and the beds and pillows extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were outstanding.

fantastic location, right on the waterfront and next to the start of a path that runs along the lake. staff were very polite and helpful. But word of warning, we were eaten alive by mosquitos between 8-10 every night

A great base for Lake Orta. You do need a car if you stay at this hotel. Had evening meal in the hotel once and the food was really good. Some good restaurants in nearby villages. The hotel had entry of sunbeds around the pool for which the hotel provided towels. Had a trip to Milan on the train which was a fantastic place.

Hotel L'Approdo and its staff contributed significantly to the enjoyment of our holiday this year. Firstly, the location of the hotel is great. It is Lakeside which provides perfect opportunities for swimming and relaxing by the water, but it is also within close proximity (by road or water) to Orta and Pettanesco, where you will find lovely cafes and bars, and beautiful scenery. When I returned home and people asked me about it, I couldn't recommend the place highly enough. It is a romantic, peaceful place which is perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Positives - Good view, restaurant & value. Negatives - Need a taxi to go everywhere. Junior staff were very welcoming & helpful, Senior Management were snooty and inflexible. No lift in the older side of the hotel so it was awkward to carry luggage to 2nd floor.

The situation of this hotel is good , right on the lake and 5 mins drive from Orta. The staff were very friendly and helpful but i would not recommend the restaurant which was very mediocre. The rooms were comfortable with large balconies although i would recommend you ask for a lake view. The decor was in need of a makeover. All in all a convenient hotel for exploring Lake Orta.

terrific hotel. Modern rooms. Good breakfasts. Wonderful view overlooking Lago d'Orta and only 2 km from town (need a car). It is worth it to get a room with a balcony overlooking the lake. We had an issue with the front desk. We paid for a lakefront room and were given a small lakefront room overlooking the children's pool that smelled ov insecticied and were told that we were receiving an upgrade. (they hadn't looked at our reservation). We complained but they said there were no other rooms available. A request to talk with the booking agent resulted in a chat with the manager and a change to an appropriate room. The rest of the stay was terrific.

Excellent accueil, très professionnel. Je recommande la chambre 217 (spacieuse, calme, superbe vue, grand balcon et bien exposée) Lit king-size très confortable. Arrêt des bateaux pour Orta, Omagna...sur la propriété. Sentier côtier jusqu'au village. La piscine et le restaurant sont ouverts au public. Parking privé fermé. Wellness, parc très agréable, jacuzzi ; baignade dans le lac et la piscine (en compagnie des canards...) Petit déjeuner buffet très complet inclus.

Prachtig hotel met goede faciliteiten. Heerlijk zwembad met voldoende ligplaatsen, fijne zitjes in de tuinen met uitzicht op het meer en het ontbijt was ook zeer uitgebreid aan mogelijkheden en allemaal heerlijk vers.
