Very disappinting

To start it all off we stood at the front counter for 20 minutes before an attendant arrive to check us in. We went to our non smoking room, as we have 4 small children and neither my husband nor I smoke. Well, are non-smoking room had an overwhelming smell of smoke. I address this with the front desk at about 4 PM she stated the other rooms have not been cleaned yet so we could not move rooms. We did not stick around to wait for the room to be ready as we were headed to a baseball game. We mistakenly assumed a room would be ready for us when we arrived back several hours later. After the game they still did not have a room available for us to switch to. The front desk staff offered us a bottle of for fabreeze. Throughout the night we could smell smoke coming through the vents which after talking to staff in the morning that is a common complaint for these rooms as the smoking rooms are above the non-smoking rooms and they have poor ventilation. All the smoke drifts down into the non-smoking room and nearly choked us out. Needless to say it was very horrible,very smelly, restless night and my 8month old daughter came home with congestion and a cough due do so much smoke being ventilated into our room. I unpacked our bags and they too reeked of cigarette smoke. The cleanliness was also very poor and the hotel it's self is very outdated

Hotel (felt more like a motel) close to airport

Great Location in Phoenix. Close to airport, places to eat, & downtown. Side door keypad wasn't working to enter building, so had to go around the front door everytime. Very small beds, & they do not provide pullout beds. Shower & sink kept trickling when shut off, so you would hear this annoying waterflow all night. Does have a fridge & stove if you want to cook. "Complementary Breakfast" was definately a joke, they only provide coffee, cereal bars & oatmeal. Overall it seemed to me that this is more of a cheap motel, but priced at decent hotel rates. I would only stay for a night if you must due to location near airport, other than that I wouldnt recommend.

Inexpensive, Good Parking, Good Area

This hotel is about 7 minutes driving time from the airport and in a pretty good neighborhood. No shopping close. Only two places to eat close. Lots of shopping and restaurants about 10 minutes from the hotel. No one was EVER at the front desk when I walked by. Rooms were clean and kitchen was fully operational. A/C and heat worked well, though you had to guess at the temperature settings since there was no readout. Showers were fair, but worked well and were fairly stocked. Plenty of clean towels. Stay was inexpensive for me, and parking was free and well protected. This place could use an upgrade, but everything worked and was ok. No swimming pool, gym or extra amenities, though internet was free and worked well for me.

Smokey smelling hallways. Overall OK

Pros: Location
Location: Close to interstates
Hallways smelled of smoke. Coffee taken down too early. Rooms were OK. Bed was comfortable.

For the price, there are better hotels.

Pros: Closed to our workshop
Cons: Better continental breakfast. Make all hotel rooms non-smoking. Have more hair dryers for loan or have one in each room. Better hotel maintenance.
No hair dryer in room. Not enough hair dryers to loan out for 2 straight days so we had to sleep with wet hair for 2 nights. No daily room cleaning. Bathroom is in poor condition, water leaks and rusty faucets in an old tub. our non- smoking room is right next to smoking room section. We were on the split smoking floor and smoke is very bad in the hallway. Staff would not move us to non-smoking floors saying they were all full, but parking lot is not very full though. Continental breakfast is a joke, only hot coffee, plastic wrapped muffins, and oak meals in paper packages which are bad for your health.

Nice hotel

We enjoyed ourselves here. The only complaint we had was they advertised a continental breakfast and it was just muffins and granola bars.

Extended Stay becoming Sect 8

I stay at Extended Stay all over, this one reeked of budget cigarettes and it mostly had long term renters that were frightening.

It was a place to lay my head. But the only thing was the breakfast either have or don't cause all they heads was muffins and breakfast bars. But other than that it was a good place.

Better options in the area

This hotel is less expensive for a reason. . It's a bit run down, but when you allow smoking and pets I guess that will happen quicker. I do not recommend this for families.
