Arizona Hotel & Resort Travel Guide

If you plan on traveling to the southwest part of the United States, Arizona is a state that you probably don't want to miss. When booking Arizona hotels, there is so much to consider doing that it can be hard to fit it all into one trip. Before you book anything, here are a few things that you need to know about making a trip to Arizona.

When it comes to traveling to Arizona, it doesn't really matter when you come. The climate is pretty much always the same although it does get hotter in the summer. Most of the state has a hot and dry climate year-round, giving it a unique landscape.

When you are trying to find hotels in Arizona to make reservations at, you need to figure out which part of the state to stay in. The Phoenix area is a very popular metropolitan region with professional sports teams like the Arizona Cardinals and the Phoenix Suns. There are many Arizona hotel packages that will allow you to explore the Phoenix area.

Some cheap hotel deals in Arizona are situated in more remote locations that will allow you to explore the natural formations in the state. For example, the Grand Canyon is one of the most popular destinations in the United States, and it is located in northern Arizona. Some Arizona hotel deals will give you access to guided tours of the canyon and the surrounding area.

You may also want to take advantage of a cheap Arizona hotel deal that will give you a tour of the Painted Desert. This is a natural formation made by mountains and hills that appear to be painted from the distance. It is consistently rated as one of the best natural attractions in the southwest. Another top rated attraction is the Meteor Crater. This massive crater was created when a meteor made contact with the surface.

If you are looking for rooms that will give you access to special prices and rates, you may want to stay close to one of the many national or state parks. For instance, the Saguaro National Park or Camelback Mountain are popular areas to visit in Arizona. Some hotels make it possible to receive a special discount on access to these areas. Once you reserve your accommodations, you can start looking forward to your trip to the southwest.

Staff was great and my floor was very quiet. I received a follow-up call the second day of my stay from a manager who asked me if everything was good and if there was anything else they could do for me. That is good service.

Staff were lovely, rooms were clean and modern. Felt like it was constantly costing money though, with wifi costing $ each day and parking also costing $ each day.

    "Gorgeous resort "
This was our first stay-cation for my girlfriend's birthday and we were pretty please with things despite a few hiccups. The grounds were fabulous and meticulously taken care of. Since we arrived mid/late morning our room wasn't ready but we just chilled by the pool. Unfortunately it took 20 mins for towels to arrive. Pool side service was prompt and friendly. They called to let us know our room was available. We reserved a Camelback view room however it was half blocked by a tree. The patio has nice large lounges/beds which makes enjoying a bottle of wine and taking in the view a relaxing experience. The other downside was neither the TV nor the phones worked. Dinner at Prado was amazing - the paella delicious. Despite the minor missed expectations as mentioned above we'd still go back. At checkout I mentioned the issues and they deeply apologized. The manager is supposed to reach out to us above the issues we had, hope they follow up as promised.

"Great Hotel for Families and the Price"
I have been coming to this hotel for over 40 years and have seen it going through its remodels. The hotel is really nice now and has great things for families (movie theater, bowling alley, game rooms, pools and of course access to the river and lake). The river cruise is a nice break from it all and very informative. If you are looking for a Vegas-type, Venetian Hotel experience, this is not your hotel but if you want a clean, comfortable, nice hotel with lots to do, this is for you. It is one of the best ones in Laughlin.

    Lodge on the Desert

306 North Alvernon Way, Tucson - Map
    "Hotel with character"
The Lodge was a great place. I received an email confirmation before my visit asking if I had an requests and gave options on room preferences, i.e. spacious room, view, quiet, etc. (You can only choose one.) Originally, I planned to travel alone, but a family member stayed with me. I chose the big room. The room was a comfortable size, but it seemed liked a regular size room with two beds. I did get lost trying to find my room, even with a map and directions from staff. The pathways between buildings are narrow and tall. The bathroom was beautiful, but I felt the wall between the room and bathroom was a little thin. Also the water pressure in the shower wasn't very strong. My cousin thought because the shower head was so high, the spray was litthe weak before it hit. The restaurant is fantastic! My cousin enjoyed several delicious gluten free meals there. All the staff was very nice & helpful. I understand this was where the movie stars of the 50s and 60s used to stay. It's about 9 miles from the airport and about 4-5 miles from downtown. I thought it'd be little more secluded, but I was thankful for the nearby Target. I hope to stay there again. This time on my own. :)

    Tucson Marriott University Park

    "Close to University of Arizona"
I chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the University, namely, on campus. However, I would return to this hotel because the staff was the friendliest and the most helpful, all the way from the concierge and front desk to the maid service and the valet. Always greeting me when I would leave and welcoming me when I returned; answering all my questions, no matter how silly; making sure all of my needs were met. All this and NOT a Marriott's Reward Member!

    "It's ok"
I used this hotel so I wouldnt have to drive far. It's not the best kept hotel or cleanest but if it's for the night it works. I don't sleep under the covers though. I stay above the covers just because the hotel is used for the gem show and sometimes the rooms aren't cleaned or sanitized after
