Recommended. Lovely hotel - beautiful view to local hilltop village. Nice high end restaurant. Great 25m swimming pool - is shared with child lessons - we asked nicely and got our own lane most of the time. Area has lots of proper old Italy to explore and discover.

Great property and very courteous and helpful staff. The Maior restaurant had the best food. We have been in Italy for 10 Days and had our best pasta dish here. Great selection for breakfast. The location is outstanding with a view of the City center of Picerno. Wish we could have stayed there for a couple more days! Definitely will be revisiting this resort in the future.

The hotel itself was very nice. Everything was clean and bed was comfortable. We were a little bit confused about some staff of the hotel. They treated us differently than other hotel guests. we felt overlooked and unwanted.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect natural setting. Wonderful staff and excellent meals. We had a wonderful dinner and excellent breakfast with great and friendly staff. Highly recommend it.

Amazing Hotel !!!
Absolutely beautiful hotel, everything is perfect, incredible design , huge rooms and bathroom, terrasse. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Breakfast and dinner were great . Waiter at the restaurant is truly professional and simply GREAT!!!

Book in the off-season if you're after solitude
The resort was nestled in the hills of Italy which would've been OK except for road construction enroute. The reception and our room was amazing. We were the only guests for dinner that evening in the dining room, but had great service and the food was exceptional. Apparently they are a big wedding venue. Breakfast was weak and we had to request cheese and meat because there were so few items on their buffet. Oh well, they almost got it right.

A visit in the south
This hotel is a must to stay every single thing in this place is 11 out of 10 room resturant evening and breakfast fantastic, the position as far as the view wonderfull don't miss a stay.

It appears that this hotel is used for events and maybe business meetings. It has unusual, but interesting architecture. Our room was very spacious with nice linens, great bathroom and beautiful views of Picerno.

A Gem of a Find
What a gem of a find. Hotel is a little dated but extremely comfortable and clean. Staff went out of their way to be of assistance. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel as there is not much else around. Breakfast was included and very good. The meals were very reasonable and the service impeccable, mainly silver service. The hotel is more like a six star then a four star property. Would definitely stay there again

Gorgeous place!
This has got to be one of if not the best Hotels we have ever stayed at, sat on the balcony taking in the sun and with a view to die for the staff could not do enough for you, the food and service were excellent thank you! Would highly recommend even though it's a very rural location

Very nice hotel, in a remote area of italy , but a great stop along your drive to the west coast... Everyone was happy to help us , they spoke little english , but went out of there way to help.. The restaurant was GREAT, the chief made a amazing meal... the suff tried so hard to help and understand us.. we made it work and it was a great overnight stop and stay for some rest

The hotel is unusual in design as mentioned in other reviews. However, it is a fabulous facility. It is primarily built as an event hotel but just staying as a hotel guest you are treated wonderfully. The entire staff of the hotel is quiet/soft sopken and extremely helpful to any need. Location is incomparable as you look out over to the hillside town of Picerno. No matter where you are in this hotel you look out at Picerno and that beautiful vista. The gardens are maintained beautifully. The entire hotel is custom built from handrails, walls of stone, floors of multicolored tiles, everything must have been done by craftsmen. Basilicata is not on the usual Italian tourist route but is an area of Italian that rivals Tuscany in visual landscape. It is certainly an area that hikers, campers, walkers and historians would enjoy. Can't imagine the area will remain undiscovered for long. It is certainly a welcome escape from the madness of Naples. Any visitor should be forewarned that the entire area just shuts down from about 1pm to 5pm but once the heat of the day subsides the entire population begins to bring each town alive. Matera and the Sassi area is a World Heritage site and should not be missed. The archeological museum in Melfi rivals that of the museum in Naples. In fact, I think it is better in its presentation and contents, which are the archeological finds of the Basilicata area.

Abbiamo alloggiato in una camera superior pagata a listino e abbiamo potuto apprezzare la pulizia impeccabile e la spaziosità. Tranne un problemino tecnico che può capitare a tutti la cosa che più mi ha sconcertato è che è da 20 anni che non vedevo una tenda doccia come accrocco ad una porta doccia che manca. Quando l'ho fatto presente in reception si sono giustificati che un cliente aveva avuto un incidente ed aveva fracassato la porta ed attendevano il pezzo. Ok ma me lo dici prima oppure mi dai un altra stanza (ce n'erano a disposizione) o non me la vendi per superior. un secondo cestino in più per i rifiuti oltre a quello per gli assorbenti nel bagno non avrebbe guastato

Stayed here for one night. Impression on hotels.com is good. However the block we stayed in stank of rotting food. Complete mase of halls, lifts, stairs and gangways. No vibe, no admosfere. Room funny glass wall between bed and toilet/bathroom. Why would you want to see others on the toilet? Internet to slow to connect. If you go down from this block, eventrooms where more then half was left as is from the last party. This pace has open door without security. Bed good, breakfast good!

A hidden gem
In the middle of nowhere on the way from Matera to Amalfi, we found this very special hotel, carved into the mountain and in multiple levels. With an amazing view of the mountains, we had a nice big room with bathtub. Cleaning was perfect, so nice. Good restaurant, both for dinner and breakfast.

Struttura moderna ben inserita nel contesto territoriale, infatti sia dalle camere che dal ristorante è possibile godere di un bellissimo panorama naturalistico. Le stanze sono spaziose, confortevoli e ben arredate, il letto è grande e molto comodo, il bagno è enorme, funzionale e con una doccia meravigliosa con getto energico e temperatura perfettamente regolabile, piatto doccia grande, getto disponibile sia da telefono che da soffione fisso dall'alto, una vera coccola. Sala colazione e ristorante bellissima, piatti davvero ottimi e camerieri molto cordiali, gentili e professionali. Personale alla reception efficiente e disponibile anche nel dare informazioni sui posti da visitare. Zona piscina relax unico neo da perfezionare, mi aspettavo una piscina per rilassarmi nell'acqua calda mentre invece la vasca con il massaggio cervicale, essendo collegata con la piscina dove si tengono i corsi di nuoto, ha una temperatura funzionale agli allenamenti per cui troppo fredda per stare fermi e rilassati; la vasca idromassaggio era rotta e cmq mi è sembrata piccola per soddisfare tutti gli ospiti dell'albergo considerato il numero delle stanze. Il soggiorno mi è piaciuto davvero tanto e ci tornerò, però la prossima volta spero di trovare la zona piscine più funzionale e con una temperatura da relax. I prezzi sono onesti rispetto alla qualità del soggiorno offerto, anzi rapportandoli a certi B&B che ormai chiedono cifre simili direi che sono davvero vantaggiosi.

Attention l'accès à la piscine est payant 10€ par adulte! Ce n'était pas indiqué sur la description de l'hotel, on a été très surpris quand on nous a demandé 20€ lors du départ! C'est dommage car le service est bon. Le restaurant est bien, le risotto citron crevette très bon, le petit-déjeuners un peu trop industriel. La chambre très propre et grande.
