Really enjoyed our stay! Whilst this property is a little dated in regard to the rooms interior, it was nevertheless very comfortable and the views, the beach front location, the pool, the short walk to Poros village - all made this a wonderful stay at a very reasonable price. Highlight of our trip!

Although a bit quaint, the hotel is quiet and comfortable and lovingly cared for by a very attentive staff. Beautiful beach literally steps away. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms newly renovated. Breakfast buffet is worth the expense. Their restaurant is also good for lunch/dinner Only negative is that Poros town is a 20 minute walk or taxi ride away. Would love to return

Beautiful view of sea and lovely private beach. Staff friendly and all are attentive and pleasant. Good breakfast buffet, but not included in room price. Upgrades made on physical property, but the new elevator is still experiencing a few glitches. Pool is attractive, well designed, and a good alternative to sea swimming. I would definitely return.

Couple holiday last week of September.
This hotel is directly on the beach, unlike others in the area. Get a sea view room, it is a beautiful view from your balcony. Also we loved having the balcony door open and falling asleep to the sound of waves. The room was clean and the bed was big and comfortable. Breakfast was a nice buffet and it had good Covid protocols. We went at the end of the season, (last week September) so it was really quiet, but in a good way. There were a number of good restaurants in easy walking distance, (you must go to the bakery 5 mins walk from the hotel, next to the supermarket)

We stayed at this property for 4 nights, we found the view to be amazing. It was really nice having the private beach just steps out of the hotel. There were plenty of spots with shade and loungers. The hotel was fairly empty during our stay. The hotel is obviously a 2 star based on the facilities, it has a very dated look inside the room (however, the price per night is attractive). Our room did not have soap when we arrived and it had a dirty cleaning rag sitting on the dresser, the front desk was apologetic. They only provide a single top sheet and there is an ancient looking comforter in the closet. You need a room key to keep the AC and lights on (they only provide 1 key card, so we used an extra Mastercard we had to keep the room cool while away). You can get beach towels but they charge 2 euros each towel, each time (we thought this was a bit stingy on the hotels part). You cannot bring your own beer/wine to drink on outside patios, only allowed on the actual beach. The elevator was kinda of sketchy, it shut off between floors and the lights went out for a few mintues. My fiancee pressed the alarm to get help and none came. It did restart afterwards, this also happened to another hotel guest as we could hear them pressing the alarm several times when stuck. We did have one front desk staff by the name of Maria, whom was a huge help in getting our passenger preboarding info printed, front desk has no access to hotel email so she used her own to help us. Would stay again

Dear Mr. Steve, thank you for your review. First, we would like to apologize for the error that the cleaning lady made. We will try to make sure that it won’ t happen again. We provide a second key if you want, but for safety reasons and as per hotel regulations, it is not allowed to leave the card in his slot when you leave the room. That’ s the reason we use room cards for electricity in most hotels, otherwise they would be useless. Of course it is not allowed to bring your own food and drinks from outside the hotel, in the outside patios as they are the areas of the restaurant and the bar. We do not think that there are any restaurants and bars in the world that you can bring your own food and drinks. Regarding the elevator, it can stop in rare occasions, due electricity fluctuations or due to sudden move of the people inside for safety reasons. When you pressed the alarm button, we went immediately to the elevator engine room to reset it, that’ s why the elevator restarted soon after. (It doesn' t restart by itself)

Great value and very comfortable.
I can’t fault this hotel. This is my third trip here, and I won’t hesitate to return. The rooms are large, spotless and comfortable, the view is sublime and the staff are all so friendly and professional - particular thanks to the lovely lady on reception who likes a cappuccino freddo, I’ll look forward to seeing you next year again! The free umbrellas and sun beds on the best bit of the beach certainly add a cherry on top to this great value hotel on this beautiful island. Best wishes, Kristina

Great hotel
We really enjoyed our stay here, great view, comfy rooms. The beach was really nice and the free sun beds and umbrellas were a bonus. Air con worked and a nice big bathroom made the room very easy to stay in. I would recommend this place without hesitation

It's a basic hotel, pretty much like all other places on Poros. But it's got it's own little beach that's very nice. Rooms are ok, just a bit out dates but have nice views. The breakfast is really bad though, not worth the money. And unfortunately every July they seem to have an American school staying which means the hotel is full of noisy teenagers.

In all hotels there are various groups of people during the season, but we try to keep the noise down, groups or no groups. Lovely setting, beautiful beach and pool. Staff friendly & polite. Hotel very clean. But three flights of stairs from rooms to restaurant area, no lift so difficult for elderly mum. No tea/ coffee making facilities in rooms. No room service. Food mediocre.

Amazing sea views and on beachfront hotel
My stay was in beginning of May when the hotel had very low occupancy, and they upgraded my room without my asking. The sea views from the rooms are definitely worth it so definitely recommend getting one of these. The grounds and pool area were also very lovely. Very clean rooms and friendly front desk. Would definitely stay again.

Great location and beach
This hotel has a great location. My family enjoyed having access to both the pool and the private beach which is mostly sandy. You can easily walk to restaurants and water sports. Having the private beach was really nice because the organized beach was crowded. The views are very nice from the hotel rooms which were decent. The breakfast buffet was good but lunch at the hotel was not that great. We ate off site for all meals other than breakfast. It is a short (5 min/5 euro) taxi to the port which has lots of dinner choices. We really enjoyed our stay

Hotel and a room with a view
Been to hotel before but opinion not changed. Good room with a balcony overlooking Askeli Bay.. Easy access for a swim at private beach and easy walking distance into Poros Town and other nearby bars and restaurants. Staff very helpful and courteous. Only small issue was the third single bed in our room which could have been more comfortable.

Great summer holiday
The location of the hotel is great. It is in a small village Askeli, near the main port and city of Poros. The walk to (city) Poros takes maybe 10-15 minutes. I stayed in a sea view double room, and I have to say that the view is really golden. Moreover, you can hear the waves of the sea and crickets all the time. Room was spacious and clean. Although the offer for breakfast is the same, it is fresh, delicious, and diverse, and you can combine it as you like. A part of the beach in front of the hotel is with sunbeds and umbrellas just for hotel guests, so you can always find a place for you. Wi-fi had a good signal everywhere, but I experienced slow internet. The hotel stuff is really great. They were so professional, helpful and at the same time unobtrusive. I will certainly consider it for future vacations.

I had stayed there and they remembered that I had a problem with my knee and with out asking for special case they located my room on ground floor. Very good staff with good manners and always so helpful. One note is they should promote their own dining . They should have information on bus times and prices.

The hotel is pretty basic, but it is what it says in can. Well located by the sea front and near downtown Poros. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The only thing it was desapointing was the breakfast buffet. Awful orange juice and terrible customer service. They don't clean your table until you leave, don't come around with tea or coffee and no toaster. Only five items to choose from and is exactly the same every single day. But as l said, the hotel is clean, well located and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back but we'll have breakfast outside.

Beachfront family peaceful relaxing and perfect!
We loved this beachfront hotel, you look straight into the dazzlingly blue/green crystal clear sea (seafront room). I think it's' position can't be rivalled in Poros. The beach is private to the hotel with lovely umbrellas and sun beds and there is food and drink service from the restaurant where you can also eat lunch, a small basic menu but tasty. It's full of Greek guests, which we loved, and everyone was relaxed and lovely. Lots of families (and thank goodness no drunk English like we'd experienced in Santorini :( The breakfast was typical basic hotel, not special, but adequate. A 5 min walk away are lots of restaurants and cafes and it's a 20 min easy walk into the main town, or £5. We enjoyed Panorama restaurant as our son loved the fish and hand cut chips. The supermarket is an easy 10 min walk and had lots of interesting things (there are 2 supermarkets, the new little one and a huge older one about 20 metres from one another) It was a wonderful experience in Greece and we will return. Thank you!

Nice hotel, clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Spectacular views. The hotel is quiet and relaxing with a beautiful sandy beach. It is a short walk to Poros town center (10 - 15 minutes, but uphill on the way back).

Golden Greece
Family break to this quite beautiful tiny Greek island. We holiday here regularly, and Golden View has an amazing view, lovely beach and nice pool. The bedrooms need a bit of money spent on them, especially the bathrooms. Otherwise all lovely.

Much to recommend - fantastic bar terrace adjoining private beach, perfect for swimming - Poros has few hotels with such excellent sea frontage. Every room has excellent sea view, and rooms are comfy with reasonable balcony. Walk from ferry port & main city bit grim - get a cab. Recommend this place however

Modest Hotel
The rooms were clean, very bare. Lacked little basics such as tea, coffee and drinking water in the room. The shower broke on the second to last day. The service was great, fresh sheets and towels daily. Private beach was fantastic and location great as it close to a bike hire shop and a little walk to the port (shops and tavernas). Would stay there again.

This is on Poros, NOT Hydra
Great hotel, but not their fault that when you search hotels in Hydra, this hotel comes up! Private beach, sun chairs, crystal clear waters, beautiful view - all that we were looking for, but we got off the ferry at the wrong stop because we believed this hotel was on Hydra. The front desk was very helpful, and the rooms were clean. We could easily walk into town for a fantastic seafood dinner.

A Poros gem
Great place. private balcony with terrific view. generous-sized room. Large exterior terrace with swim pool, and stairs down to nice beach. Staff very helpful and friendly. >15 minute walk to town, but a cab is only ~4Euro.

perfect relaxing break
As visitors to Poros in the 80's we revisited last year and stayed at the Golden View, We had such a wonderful time we decided on a repeat visit this year and have just returned from another fantastic break, T he family who run this hotel are so hospitable and the hotel itself is spotless with no high tech amenities but linen and good quality towels changed daily and plenty of hot water with a good shower.Lovely pool area and little private beach All you need in fact. ,like a lot of people our lives are busy so to come to somewhere as unspoliled and laid back as Poros is a real treat, I must confess we do not do a lot just relaxing and eating out at the local tavernas but we are made so welcome at the Golden View we are hoping to make this a yearly visit.

LIke I said the hotel staff was ok specially the gentleman working the evening shift but the hotel it self is not fitted for proper rest noisy uncomfortable room with very questionable cleanliness . Don't count on resting there just a place to put your luggages really

I spent two nights at the Golden View. The room was nicely decorated, the air con worked well and I did have a nice view. Cleanliness was ok - it could have been a bit better. The shower was... interesting. The tap and the hook for the shower head were too far apart and it was a bit of a struggle. The lighting was insufficient in the bathroom and frankly, it was a bit gloomy. There's little to be said about the staff. I only saw the receptionist when I arrived and when I left. I was handed my key without comment or offer for information on the hotel facilities (bar, pool, restaurant, etc.).
