We were allocated room 109 which had a faulty detector which constantly made loud clicking noises through the entire day and night which made it impossible to sleep. Air conditioner constantly leaked and had quite clearly been that way for quite sometime as carpet beneath was damp and mouldy. Room smelt as the mouldy when you enter the room. Shower screen surround on shower floor was mouldy and dirty and quite clearly had not been cleaned for ages. One Star rating!!

This is an old hotel that is reflected in the carpet and furniture. The room we were provided faced out to the pool, but our room had no privacy window netting/curtain. As the window provided the only natural light into the room, we either had to have the curtain open and have people looking into our room or close the curtain and use electrical lighting.

Basic Accommodation
Basic accommodation. Pros: good location and wifi. Cons: Checked behind bed for PowerPoint, very dusty behind and under the bed. Only one bed lamp. Air conditioning was very cold and could not be adjusted. Balcony was very small, just over chair width. Reception was due to close at 6.30 but closed before 6 when we returned before 6 so my wife didn’t have to climb two flights of stairs from the car park. Bar fridge had no shelves in the door and the one shelf in the fridge was cracked. Good location but in need of upgrading. As it was holiday period not much else available. For the price $240 per night it was not good value. Perhaps the apartments are better than the motel rooms. I would check other places next time if visiting Nelson Bay.

Property was located 4 minutes from Nelson bay city center so was convenient. The room itself smelt musty and was dirty, 2 used towels had been left hanging on the balcony and a large canvas had fallen off the wall and was laying on ground in the corner - not well looked after at all. Staff member was polite, restaurant attached was nice.

Kudos to the maintenance guy who tried to rectify a number of items for us. The room was very dirty on arrival, the shower screen was off it’s hinges. The floor had not been vacuumed. Windows dirty and couch had massive rips in it. The pool was out of action due to a water leak affecting the ph levels. The restaurant was closed due to new management changes. The motel is on a roundabout and very noisy. The outside lights stayed in till after midnight and the curtains did meet to her the light out. There is a venue across the road snd in a Saturday night the music was very loud till at least midnight. We paid cheap, however this should still get us a clean room with facilities. We couldn’t move room as they said there was no other available. The area is lovely and looked like there were plenty of other options to stay at.

Bath products are good quality. Room was nice and spacious. Though some parts of the room need deep cleaning and few things in the room need to be replaced (e.g the bins and curtains). Overall stay was quiet and nice for a quick getaway.

Motel needs a refurbishment. It was advertised as a an upscale motel bit we were very disappointed when we got into our room. The furniture needs replacing and the decor is dated. The view was of a brick wall next door. On the plus side, the bathroom has been updated and was pleasant with lots of hot water. The bed was comfy with crisp clean sheets.

It is close to the club and front office staff were friendly. The carpet in our room was filthy and there was poo on the sheets! For what the room was it was way overpriced.

We usually stay here when in Nelson Bay. Its convenient and close to clubs etc. We stayed 2 nights. 1st night room was clean and set up. 2nd day, towels were changed, bed made but no milk for a cuppa and dirty glasses, mugs etc... left dirty from previous day. We had no washing up facilities, so no clue why this wasnt done. Disappointing, but we still enjoyed our stay.
