Lovely and comfortable house in a great neighborhood!
I stayed at the house with my college age daughter and we loved it. The house is nicely decorated and very comfortable and the owners were great about communication. Great location near St. Johns neighborhood as well as UP. Highly recommend!

A nice place to stay
We had a good stay at Oliver’s place. He was responsive and helpful. The bed was comfortable, and the house had pretty much all the appliances and supplies we needed. It was decently clean, and close-by to some good restaurants and coffee places.

Home away from home!!!
We loved our home away from home for the 2 months we visited with our grand children!! It is so cute and comfortable and had everything we needed! The best part was the landlord being so close and taking care of our every need!

A lovely gem in a sweet part of town
The house is cozy and well appointed. We lacked for nothing. We especially appreciated the gas fireplace, which really took the chill off of our February visit. We love the St. John's neighborhood and found its location convenient to other parts of town.

Warm, inviting and full of charm.
My sisters and I enjoyed this St. Johns bungalow very much! The decor is darling, the beds are comfortable and the fireplace is enough to heat the entire house. The owners were available when we needed them and the property was peaceful and quiet. We appreciated the added convenience of a keyless entry, a washer & dryer and a digital tour guide. Ideal location as we were just a short drive to so many interesting and historic neighborhoods. We would stay here again!

Comfortable house in St Johns
House is well equipped including laundry. kitchen and 2 baths and very tastefully decorated with beautiful natural light and surrounding plantings . Groceries, parks , restaurants all within walking distance . Easy commute to airport and big box shopping by car . About 20 minutes from downtown .

We loved our stay here! Great, quiet location and walking distance to Cathedral Coffee shop and the best little Thai Food cart! Oliver was great and gave us extra blankets! Would recommend!

Perfect for our time in Portland
When we arrived were greeted by Oliver, the owner of the property. He was helpful and gave us some great insight into the neighborhood. We discovered several nice spot for dining close by and we were within walking distance to Cathedral Park. The house has everything you need to and is very comfortable. We will plan to return again in the near future.

Close to Downtown in a quiet neighborhood.
This place was amazing. Its close enough to downtown Portland, but far enough that its a quiet neighborhood. Oliver's communication was great. My wife and I love this house and will definitely be looking it up again next time we are headed to Oregon. Thank you again!!

We absolutely loved our stay in St. John's at Oliver's beautiful bungalow. It was the perfect amount of space for 4 ladies during our weekend away! Beds + linens were incredibly comfortable, amenities provided were over and above and the space was just the cutest! Communicating with Oliver was a breeze and he was always quick to reply. Will 100% be keeping this on my list of places to stay in Portland and hope to go back soon!

We had two couples stay here for one night and the place was great. The beds were comfortable and the decor was very cute. The owner was very attentive to a small issue we had and proactively solves it. Would stay again!

Looking forward to staying again!
This property is in the neighborhood of a close friend who's wedding we attended, so it was perfect - on paper. VERY quickly, we realized that we had chosen wisely! The property is clean, charming and we felt at home! Oliver was VERY good in communicating with us, which was important as we were unfamiliar with the area. This was also my first Home Away experience and because of Oliver and his property, it will not be our last. We look forward to staying in his property again!

Cute get away
This house has a lot of charm and character - very well decorated and very clean. It's close to grocery stores and restaurants, and offers a nice quiet space to unwind if that's what you're looking for. It's well stocked with things you may need for laundry or showers. Oliver communicates with you as needed, and shares a list of restaurants and places to see while we were staying in the area, which helped us decide on some of our activities. Would highly recommend staying here!

Adorable House
The house is just as pictured. It was well stocked with everything you need. We did visit a lot of the surrounding areas, so a car was a must. Oliver was very quick to respond on any question we had. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great location and value
Charming little Chateau in St. John's, a nice town north of Portland. There are just a few run-down houses in the neighborhood, but don't let that dissuade you from staying here. It was quiet and peaceful. The house is exquisitely decorated. Oliver and Puji were welcoming and helpful hosts. 20 dollar Lyft to downtown Portland, about the same to PDX. We couldn't have been happier here and would definitely rent again in the future.

Great house and great location
This house was well equipped and very comfortable. We stayed a whole week as we moved our son into college. We thoroughly enjoyed the location as it was easy to get to U.P. and St. John’s. The St. John’s area was very nice with plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. I would highly recommend this property and would stay there again whenever we come back to visit Portland.

Cozy cottage in Boho St.Johns
Artsy, cozy cottage in a trendy mixed neighborhood. Great location-walk to lots: restaurants, shops, grocery, etc. Wonderful, welcoming and communicative hosts-Oliver and Puji (spelling?)-after a 2 hour traffic snarl on our way back from Mt. Hood-they dropped off a couple bottles of delicious courtesy wine to help realign our mood. A thoughtful and appreciated touch. They have a great little place at a great price, and their presence (though in no way intrusive) enriches the experience. Kudos!

Great Location
Lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. Not in the heart of downtown Portland, but a short drive away. An easy walk to Cathedral Park and local restaurants nearby. Very gracious owners who live in the back house. They maintain your privacy but are there for questions or tourist advice. We had a great time staying here.

St. John's Area - Good Experience
Although not in downtown Portland, the St. John's Area was very nice with plenty of restaurants and activities, some within walking distance. It was also very convenient, however, to the downtown area and very convenient to interstates that got us to mountain hiking and to the coast. The Cozy Cottage was an excellent, comfortable retreat and Oliver could not have been more accommodating. Beds were very comfortable and chairs on the porch were a nice place to sit and have coffee in the morning. I would highly recommend the Cozy Cottage and will look into staying there again if my travels take me back to Portland.

Great place to stay
This house is really a great place to stay. It's furnished with lots of artistic touches. The kitchen is large, the living room furniture is comfortable, the bedrooms have comfortable mattresses, there are two rocking chairs on the front porch (we weren't able to use them due to rain, but they were sure cute!). I slept in the bedroom closest to the street and I did not hear any "street" noises. The neighbor is very quiet. I felt safe going for my morning walks. Oliver is knowledgeable of the area and he gave us a few tips on things we wanted to do in the area. I can highly recommend staying here!!!

Incredibly well done with interior design and amenities. Very comfortable.
This is the cutest house ever! Owner Oliver is very nice and accommodating. Neighborhood was quiet. Restaurant district of St. John's is close by. Beds were comfortable. We found a great back way into downtown Portland over the most northern bridge and avoided the freeways.

Comfortable, quirky, well-equipped home
My sister and I enjoyed our stay at Oliver's place--it had everything one could possibly need and included a number of much-appreciated design touches that added to the charm. The fireplace was a pleasant feature, particularly in the colder weather we encountered during our stay. Beds were perfectly comfortable and everything was immaculately clean. We appreciated the availability of the second bathroom, but could only gaze with amusement at the tiny, tiny tub and shower; fortunately, the other one worked quite well. The neighborhood was (mostly) very quiet and conveniently located, with good proximity to grocery stores (e.g., New Seasons) and such. The instructions and recommendations provided were thorough and helpful, and I was especially glad to find varied and interesting reading material available throughout the home.

The perfect getaway on St. Johns
Every aspect of this lovely cottage is touched by the care of its owners, Oliver and Puji. It is sweet, inviting, cozy, comfortable, clean, and just perfect. The owners made us feel so at home and provided the perfect stay for East Coasters traveling to the Northwest. Perfectly situated, one can access the downtown area of St. Johns in minutes and just a short drive beyond that you can find yourself in downtown Portland or in the mountains (hills? not sure, coming from Florida everything seemed like a mountain :D) This stay was a peaceful escape from it all and I thank the owners again for being so accommodating and for providing such a lovely place to call home.

The house was lovely. We feared that it would be too hot (no central air conditioner, and 98 degrees in Portland!), but the temperature inside the house was actually cool enough for sleeping. The park down the street gave us somewhere to take our toddler to run off some energy, as the yard was not available due to construction. The hosts were very responsive to questions.

What a beautifully enchanting little (but roomy) cottage!! My husband and stayed for three days and enjoyed every minute of this delightful property!! It was perfect! Decorated with relaxing, cool colors throughout with just the right amount of antiques and modern technology and appliances to make you feel relaxed and calm while still offering all the modern conveniences. Oliver and Puji have done an excellent job on this little dream house! Cute, comfy, cozy, and charming best describe this gem! The owners were just as adorable! They were sweet and very helpful with recommending hiking, shopping, activities in the area, and great food options. It just couldn’t have been more perfect! I hope we can visit again soon!

Beautiful house is a cute neighborhhood
Oliver and Puji were great! Communication was timely and friendly. We even enjoyed briefly meeting them. My friend and I stayed add had plenty of room. Would be perfect for a couple too. The house is very clean and well stocked. The decor is stunning and comfortable. We really enjoyed the St. Johns location. We spent our busy days exploring the area so it was nice to come "home" to a quiet neighborhood and the area had a lot to offer. Would definitely stay again with my husband.

Cozy property was good for our travel to Portland
The property worked out well for my elderly mother and I and it was close to the areas we visited. It was cozy and comfortable. My only suggestion would be to brighten the main bathroom and to put a usable mirror in the bathroom off of the kitchen. The property had a lot of character and fully equipped for any cooking. We would rent again if in the area.

This home has everything that you need. It is cozy and intimate. If you are coming to spend time in Portland, know that you will have to travel 15 minutes by freeway. If that is not an issue, than this is a great spot for you.

perfect little cottage
Loved this house! It's so cute and in a sweet quite neighborhood. Usually I have a hard time sleeping in a new place (different bed/surroundings) but I slept like a baby from the first night! It was such a comfortable place to stay - highly recommended. There's no AC and it did get pretty warm during the day, but it cooled down nicely at night so we were never uncomfortable. The fan in the bedroom was very nice to have on the warm nights. The owners were very nice and easy to communicate with whenever we had questions or wanted suggestions.

Cozy, comfortable and close to University of Portland, Lombard St & St. John's
Very cozy bungalow in walkable distance from UP and adjacent neighborhoods. Very nice firing up the gas fireplace and enjoying morning tea or coffee. Smartly renovated. Not ideal for hosting dinners for friends (small), but very comfortable for 2-3 people. Owners paid a lot of attention to detail in making this a comfortable renovated home with character and style.

Cozy, well-maintained, artistic home in quiet neighborhood
We had a wonderful stay in Puji and Oliver's cozy home. They were very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any of our questions, the home is artistically and creatively decorated, and it is exceptionally maintained and comfortable, all of which made our stay in the Portland area perfect. We highly recommend!
