Comfortable, well-appointed room. Thoughtfully designed and beautiful to look at. We very much enjoyed our one-night stay there. The neighborhood is a bit gritty, but safe. It was convenient for the show we were seeing nearby. Helpful and friendly staff. We would very happily stay at the Grand Stark again.

Pet friendly but be prepared to find the grass for dogs to do their business. I had to walk a few blocks to find the tiny grass by the sidewalk. Poor dogs!

It’s not safe area to stay alone, you find so many homeless around hotel. staff is also not helpful for anything. my room heater stopped working in evening then they said I checked for that and it’s working after I requested portable heater but that also not woking. In morning, I complained again so they call technician and he found that it’s stopped working from yesterday and on that night snowfall happened so temperature is 20 F and when I asked them to come and check in room then receptionist said we don't come in guest room when they available. If I am saying to come and check heater condition then they gave this kind of excuse. please read other comments before booking your stay here. There is also near by homeless shelter so you found whole street of homeless folks.

Older remodeled super cute and clean. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy, no complaints about the hotel. It was super noisy like you could hear the cars in the room so that was not pleasant it’s a busy street! Also there is NO PARKING my mistake I didn’t see it. I just take it as a given that parking is included when you stay, it’s $40 to valet and parking is super limited. I paid for the valet versus the hassle. I probably wouldn’t stay again and not because of the hotel or staff. The room was too noisy and the parking is irritating. Overall I enjoyed my night stay.

Everyone was super friendly and provided the best service when needed. I loved the feel of our room, a retro chic vibe. I was looking for a unique property to stay and this hotel delivered. I loved the rain head shower and colors of the room. My husband found the bed very comfortable. I stayed with my husband and 5 month old and we were comfortable the whole time. I will say there is no microwave or parking lot. We always found close by parking and used the kitty parking app to pay the meter. There was construction going on during our stay, but the side we were on had a water tank, so that noise was a good white noise for our baby and me. They had places close walking distant. All the places we went to eat at we drove too and that was a short 5-10 minute drive from the hotel too. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

We had an excellent stay at the Hotel Grand Stark. The location was perfect for getting around central Portland, and we used the free rental bikes at the hotel every single day! Would definitely stay here again.
