Nice and quiet.
The apartment was in the basement of the home. It was clean and well appointed. My only issue is my wife and I are tall...6'3 and 5'10. A shorter person would not have to dodge the support beams...LOL! Other than that and not seeing the cats it was a very comfortable stay.

Hi thanks for staying with us. As described in our listing it does say it is a bm apartment that there are low ceilings and not great for very tall folks.

Cute basement suite in perfect location
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 days and had a great time. The hosts are great at responding to messages and checking in, the place is pretty spacious, and it's by an insane amount of shops, restaurants, bars, etc. that you can easily walk to. Would recommend!

Cozy place in a great area of Portland

Property was as advertised (very neat, clean and quiet), owner communication was outstanding, and we enjoyed visiting with the kitties in their outdoor rec room as we passed by them! Neighborhood was great too. Highly recommend this property!!

One night stay
The weather was unusually cold & wintery causing a frozen pipe to burst in the kitchen area our first morning. The water had to be turned off and we had to find another place to stay. The owners were very accommodating and apologetic. Their response to the situation was immediate. We were fully refunded for the remaining days of our scheduled stay. We appreciated their concern and helpfulness with a difficult situation. VRBO has not been as helpful refunding the difference in taxes and fees.

Overall stay was good. The outside lighting should be improved as it was difficult to safely walk back to this apartment at night via side yard especially for an older population who are challenged with their balance.

Good location and price
We love the Alberta neighborhood and this place was very walkable to some of our favorite restaurants. The place does feel a little basement-y but not damp. On the dark side. Not ideal for relaxing at home but a good base for city exploration. Overall worth staying in for the location and lower price point.

Ok, for the money.
Walking distance to the Kennedy School brew pub was a bonus. Beds were comfortable. Not so fond of shaving and brushing teeth in the kitchen sink.

We had a wonderful stay while we here! It was the perfect size for the two us with TONS of things to do within walking distant, we actually extended our stay there due to the location and style of the place. We will deff be staying there again when we visit again!

Perfect Portland petite
Adorable little getaway place in the Alberta district walkable to main eateries and shops and convenient to transport into the downtown. Very comfortable beds, super clean and cozy! We were three in our party but it can comfortably add a fourth. Hosts were accessible while very respectful of our privacy. Great bang for the buck, highly recommend!

Excellent neighborhood for waking. We loved walking up the block for morning coffee. Only complaint was that the kitchen sink did not have very hot water so washing the dishes was difficult. Everything else was great! We would stay there again when looking for good value with location.

Great Place to Stay
This was a great, affordable find. The neighborhood is pretty walkable for morning coffee/breakfast, or even a drink at night. Very comfortable lodgings. My only advice would be to upgrade the Roku on the TV (it’s very old and super slow, and won’t allow guest logins). But 5 stars for this place!!!!!

Great little place!
A unexpected family tragedy brought us to Portland with no time to plan and this place was available and in close proximity to the hospital where we spent the majority of our time. It adequately met our needs for a place to sleep and shower. Neighborhood is quiet. Unit was clean. I would definitely stay there again!

The place is quite tiny but functional. It is near to grocery shopping, art galleries, restaurants, and in a quiet neighborhood. The airport is also very close by Portland standards. It was a very good fit for our needs.

Central and friendly
This lower level apartment is perfect for exploring the neighborhood and the greater area around Portland. Though the area is busy and popular, we never had difficulty finding street parking. The backyard is a lovely oasis! Slightly lower ceilings and doors, so be aware if you're super tall. The owner was pleasant and helpful, especially with advice about the surrounding area and getting bikes up and running for us.
