Excellent Place

Hotel Staff and the place itself is excellent. Just a little note, halls are loud (not necessarily the hotel fault) but people are happy, is just you can hear everybody at 3, 4 am etc. Rain a couple of days, we didn't have Wi-fi inside the room for 3 days but was outside the room. Other than that love the place.

Pleasure

Room condition needs upgrade. Housekeeping needs to be called and had to be told what needs to be restocked. Transportation within the hotel terrible. Seafood restaurant doesn’t serve shrimps and crabs. Hotel needs some paint work outside as it looks old and total experience is below average.

Great resort

Pros: Lots of activities, food options, and great entertainment at night.
Cons: More carts for transportation around the resort.
Location: Good location; zip lining at scape park is recommended.
This was our first time to Punta Cana, and we were very pleased with the resort. The service was exceptional and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The location of our room was great, however because the resort is so large, it could be a 10-15 min walk to the main lobby and restaurants. They have golf carts for transportation, but we found it faster to walk everywhere. I wish our stay had been longer so we could enjoy more of the pool/beach and spa. I would definitely come back.

It's Ok

Pros: The Staff was great!
Cons: Everything else needs improvement. Most of the food while plentiful, is tasteless. The place is looking and feeling dated.
Location: Eh! North shore is usually rough surf making beach activities less enjoyable. most other activities are a longish bus ride.
The Resort Staff, top to bottom, is very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Everyone tries hard, perhaps too hard, to make your stay pleasant. The Resort is nice enough but doesn't compare to "A" list resorts. The grounds are nice but not breathtaking, the food is plentiful but only passable, the activities are generally overpriced and, unlike neighboring resorts, if you don't use all of the activity the provider cannot refund your unused portion because of a RULE at Hard Rock (Scuba Dives for example). The wristbands get annoying after a few days & if you cut them off they charge you $5.00 for a new one. Elastic anyone? They are very concerned with how each service is. They constantly call to check you are happy. Yet even here they become annoying. Order room service & they manage to call you exactly in the middle of when you are trying to enjoy it. Saying something about the timing of the call changes nothing. The resort is so big that they need golf carts to help you get around - that's great. However, if it rains and you want to go to dinner - when you can't wear a bathing suit - the seats are soaking wet and they have no towels, so your choice is to sit on a wet seat or walk in the rain. In sum, the resort tries VERY HARD but always seems to find a way to come up short and usually in a way that manages to leave a bad taste - not enough to ruin to the experience but enough to take the "bloom off the rose"

Pros: The rooms, room service, food and the pool.
Cons: The resort is very large and the trolley system was a little slow sometimes.
Location: We did not leave the resort
We were there during Hurricane Maria. Hard Rock did a wonderful job of moving us, keeping us fed and entertaining the guest during the storm. I did get an intestinal virus while I was at home which I believe I got at the hotel but I do have a sensitive stomach. I get sick wherever I go. thank you very much, we had a wonderful time..

Cleanliness and friendliness are top notch

The resort was clean and staff very friendly and welcoming. The grounds are large - golf cart transportation is available but the property is very walkable for anyone who does not have mobility issues. There were many restaurants to pick from- no reservations necessary- lots of great variety. Upon check in at any Hard Rock all inclusive there is always a push to join their vacation club. I'm not into making any kind of commitment even though they temp you with lots of free give aways to sit through their timeshare presentation. The Spa was great and the resort has ample staff to assist you with any need. Overall a great trip and I would recommend the resort.

Awesome resort!

The Hard Rock has a great staff who are pleasant and always ready to help. Nice selection of resturants plus 24 hour room service. I used part of my resort credit for spa treatments and it was amazing! Several pools to choose from work great music and drinks. I'll definitely be going back in the future!

Vacation from Hell

Pros: The staff felt sorry that my room had many problems and gave us more towels to place on the bathroom floor due to the water leak.
Cons: The hotel should have their own inspectors and not use the vacationers to locate the issues for them. They should pay me for destroying my vacation
Location: If you have a bad experience as we did Hard Rock you almost have to find outside attractions especially ones that provide hot water
Upon arrival at 2:00 pm room was not ready and we needed to wait till 3:00 at which time room was not ready and we needed to wait till 7:00 p.m, but was told not to touch the walls due to fresh paint. Once in the room the A/C did not work, the safe inoperative and no hot water. After three attempts they were able to fix the safe, but the hot water and A/C never worked for the 5 days; however, they were promising they would fix it. Toilet leaked water each time used and the remedy was to place towels on the bathroom floors. TV did not work for three days and finally they brought an expert who replaced the cable from wall to TV and it started working. There was no Ocean View because our room was below sea level. There was no Jacuzzi for two in the room as the room I had paid for was suppose to have. No Liquor dispenser in the room as described. Front door electric issues waiting for parts from China. Electric drapes switch broken and could not be repaired until parts arrive. Constantly was requested to wait in the room for repair people, inspectors, supervisors and hotel management to review my issues. This meant that I lost time from my vacation to show the hotel what is not working what is broken and receive constant responses that "we will fix this immediately". Never happened. Upon my departure the hotel Management offered me a discount of $50 for the lost of time, aggravation and impossible living condition; however, I had to sign a release and I refuse

Our experience was great but there is room for improvement in two areas: 1. Better transportation services. The hotel facilities are so big that the beach and pool areas are very far from the main lobby and the little golf cart train takes too long to rotate so the wait time was 15-20 min each time you wanted to go to any place. 2. The shower water temperature would get either really hot or really cold so we couldn't enjoy the wonderful shower in peace without being either too hot or too cold.
