I stayed at the Victoria Hotel for a race i had the next day. Simon was friendly and welcoming. I stayed in a twin room which was very clean and spacious and the bed was comfy. I was advised when i arrived that it was a local pub and the darts was on that evening. I stayed on the top floor and didn't hear a thing. The hotel doesnt have parking but there was plenty of on street parking available and i mamaged to park rught outside. I would stay here again

With code sent by Expedia my granddaughter and me entered this property! The shock we had is beyond imagination! Dirty, cigarette smell mixed with the cheap air freshener and a rooms like a bomb side! Dirty and no covers or bedding! One moment drunken and dirty looking man appeared behind us and we were running out for our life’s. Sitting safely back in the car, we were shaking from the shock what we saw! I was in tremendous distress because I had my granddaughter and nowhere to stay! There was no chance to stay in this property and I new I need to contact Environmental authority to check this building! I can’t call it hotel! Pictures on the website are scam! I couldn’t find any accommodation in Pwllheli and not in close vicinity! Nearest accommodation was in Aberystwyth and I took it because there was no choice! I will not recommend to anyone experienced what we did!

Expensive for what it was. Very basic. Phone did not work in the hotel. No basic toiletries. Shop below had noisy deliveries from 4am which woke my son up. Fine for corporate work but unsuitable for families.

The Victoria Pwllheli
This is not a hotel. It is just rooms above a closed, run down pub. To get in and out of the rooms you have to go through a door where there are always young men outside smoking. The entrance and communal stairs are dated and don’t smell very pleasant. The room however was comfy and clean. We just wanted a one night stay to explore the area but would not stay here again.

Quick overnight stop
Hard to find hotel due to satnav but when we got in we got in the hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly. It was just somewhere to lay out head for the night. We were very comfortable on the top floor and it was spotlessly clean. Plenty of drinks provided. Enjoyed our short stay

The room we stayed in was clean . The disappointing parts - the shower , operated off the taps kept going hot and cold . - the bed was uncomfortable and extremely squeaky .

The owners seemed very friendly. We had a decent room; it was large, basic but comfortable and clean. We slept well once the pub noise died down around midnight. The website seems to have some outdated information which isn't doing anyone any favours. It stated that check-in was after 6 pm when the pub opened, so we arranged our plans accordingly and had intended to loiter on the beach. Apparently, this was the old owner's rule and we were able to check-in much earlier. They didn't happen to mention breakfast on check-in, so we checked online and it said breakfast was extra. My husband went down to forage from the car, and discovered a table waiting for us. We'd stay there again if the price was substantially less than what we paid. For £109 we'd expect a bit better layout (eg. there was an unnecessary table in the bathroom forcing us to sit askance on the toilet (?)) and decor and some basics like shower gel and shampoo supplied.

The room was very large, with a double and two single beds, and would be good for a family base for a seaside holiday. The floor was a bit sandy, suggesting that indeed that is what it is used for! For two of us for an overnight stay it was relatively expensive. It was fine, but not exceptional.

Was a bit of confusion with the rooms, and we have been over charged, not by the hotel though! It was very cramped and both rooms we had booked were the same, the owner was lovely, probably great for couples wanting a nice break but not great for 5 painters :)

Pleasantly surprised.
I have stayed in hundreds of hotels worldwide over the years, lots of 5 star. I wasn't expecting much from Victoria Hotel. I was actually dreading it when I see the outside and the area it was in. The room was very spacious. The bathroom was a great size. The cleanliness was outstanding. I am extremely OCD when is comes to clean. The room was very basic but it was all I needed for a one night stay. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The only bad thing I can say is that the wifi did not work in my room. I was a little upset at first but it's not the end of the world!

Great for our short stay.
Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. Ground floor is basically a pub/restaurant - beer and wine were very nice. Stairs might be a problem for disabled visitors. Staff very helpful, even contacted us before our visit to ensure that we would be able to get in if the doors were locked when we were due to arrive and to remind us to ensure we booked breakfast if we wanted it.

Overpriced for what it is
Decent sized room, decor was tired and dated. Comfortable bed. Tiny bathroom, shower door couldn't open very wide as it opened against the sink. If a larger person was in this room they'd struggle to get in the shower, if at all!! Couldn't get the shower to run hot so had to give up in the end. On the morning of check-out a member of staff knocked our door at 10.15am asking what time we were leaving, I said 10.30 (as that's what it said on expedia's page when i booked it). She pointed to the information notice on the wall saying 'what does it say on there?' Not at all friendly and totally the wrong attitude for someone working in the hospitality sector. Customer service training would be useful! Also the hotel needs to check that their information on booking websites is accurate and consistent with their own to avoid confusion and awkward situation. Definitely not worth the money we paid.

Great location, poor value for money.
Can't fault the hotel for location, also they were very helpful in accommodating some last minute changes to the booking. The room was clean however poor value for money. Headroom very restricted - I'm 5ft 7, so quite short but I had to stoop get get up the stairs and use the bathroom in the attic room we were allocated. My daughters bed was so short the standard mattress dos not fit and she said it was like sleeping in a hammock. Other rooms we saw were better however I recommend avoiding room 6. I've stayed in worse hotels and I've stayed in more expensive hotels however at £125 per night room only this is definitely the worse value for money ever. This attic room is to be avoided unless you are less than 3ft tall and preferably banana shaped.

worse hotel We EVER stayed overnight... nothing else to add...huge dissapintment... it's good that they have a bar because after arrival You really want to get drunk and forget it... Hotel Service without an issues...
