“The rooms were clean but needed a bit of updating there was only one channel on TV. The pool in the bar area were nice. The breakfast was adequate but you could pay to have extras like bacon and eggs if you chose to. you could catch the shuttle to the Edgewater hotel which is the sister hotel . The Local bus stops outside $35 for 10 trips around the island . Happy hour was twice a day .”

“When we arrived we thought we’d come to the wrong hotel. It was like rolling up to the entrance of an old western motel. A gritty, broken up driveway brought us to the main entrance which had a large plain pond with nothing in it - just an unloved body of water which must have, at one stage, had a welcoming water feature, I assume. The stairs up to reception were plain concrete with grubby iron handrails. And the reception looked as if we’d arrived at the back entrance- barely any lighting,……

“Rooms are good and staff very friendly and helpful. Reception staff more business like but then they are busy . Nothing of note to be negative about . The resort was great with extra activities to go to during the day. The men that sang and played outside at night were very good. Visitors just need to be patient as not everything Food was very tasty and appealing.”

“We just had an overnight stay here getting in late from Honolulu and leaving the next day at 4. The room was great. Right on the beach. Clean and very nice. The restaurant was great for lunch and we hung out by the pool.”

“Muri Beach Club is a bit of a mixed bag. The location is excellent, right on Muri Beach and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and cafés. The staff were genuinely lovely and always helpful, and because it's a smaller resort it never felt crowded. There were always loungers available by the pool and we never had trouble getting a good breakfast table. The bed was comfortable and the complimentary kayaks, SUPs and snorkelling gear were a great bonus. On the downside, the resort is……

“Aroa Kainga is one of the best places we ever stayed at. The bungalow and the veranda offer plenty of space and the kitchen is perfectly equiped - you'll find everything you need if you wish to cook your own meals. Location is particularly good if you are into snorkelling as the nearby beach is the best snorkelling place in Rarotonga. As we also wanted to explore other places on the Island, we rented Jane and Craig's car for a couple of days. Absolutely great to have that option! In general Jane……
