Raina is very conveniently located opposite a great snorkeling spot (Fruits of Raratonga). and 200m from Charlies - a great place to eat and relax and gaze out over the lagoon. The gardens are lovely and lush with beautiful plants and flowers and there are loungers to relax on. Bus stop just outside. Owner and staff were friendly. We were a little disappointed that our room with partial ocean view had a very limited view (being on the ground floor and across the road from the sea). Had we known we probably would have booked a garden room as the glimpse is so restricted. The room was very big with lots of space to spread out in. Be aware that the bathroom is quite basic and the water pressure for shower is low. There is a community hall across the road and on Mon and Weds there is a gym class with very loud music from 6 am. Ok if you have earplugs or are up early. We would stay here again. It would be great if they had bikes for hire. You could use the owners car for a fee but bikes are ideal for getting around the island.

Loved the fact we could have 3 connecting rooms, perfect for our family of 5. Clean rooms, aircon and fans. Beds super comfortable and a balcony on all rooms. It was a quiet property with the most amazing snorkelling spot. So many tropical fish and turtles. The marine guide was awesome too. Staff super friendly. Loved this place, we will be back.

The property has a lot of rooms plus private accommodation that is part of the resort too. This results in the restaurant being overrun in the morning for breakfast. The pool is also really small considering the amount of people that can stay there. The grounds and rooms are really nice- clean and comfy, but the walls are not the most soundproof and with the amount of people coming and going we were woken up at least briefly each morning or night. Not the place for us, had more of a Bali/ Benidorm vibe. But lots of people go back- so it obviously appeals to some!
