After tried several different places around KEF airport, I found this property and stayed for 2 nights. It is the best! Great services, super clean, quiet, convenient, shuttle bus is always on time, and a small restaurant inside of the hotel with very good food. The front desk manager, Sandra is exceptionally helpful, kind and professional. I will for sure be staying in this property on my next trips to KEF.

The breakfast was good and the staff nice. The room did not have hot water. We were told to many people were using it at the same time. That’s a problem. The lighting in the room/bathroom was the worst I have ever seen. There was no counter space in the bathroom for toiletries, no wash clothes and no bath mat. The room is updated, however, it felt cold and not welcoming. There were night stands but they didn’t hold a needed medical device. Lastly, most charging outlets were not in logical areas to plug in electronics - had to put them on the floor.

KEF layover
The hotel is very clean and beautiful. The breakfast buffet was very bountiful and offered many choices. Airport shuttle to the airport was a great convenience but the hours are limited.

It's very short bedtime I was very surprised at how much I liked this hotel. The front desk staff are very kind like the above and beyond type. When we were checking in the fella at the front desk checked us in kind of hasty because he was so excited that the northern lights were finally visible for some guests who had been staying all week and kept missing them. He literally checked us in and then ran away from the desk to go find that family so that he could help them see the Northern Lights behind the building. It was the nicest thing! I got to talking to him a little bit each day and he seemed like a gem. The takeoff Bistro was okay, but didn't offer a lot for vegetarians who are allergic to mushrooms. And by that I mean absolutely nothing unless you want to pay the same amount and then take the meat off of something which was kind of a bummer. I didn't love that the hotel is in a hotel park so there's nothing really walkable nearby but it was such a comfortable space.

This hotel should be booked only if you are stuck and just need a shelter! 1. The bedrooms are not heated. It is cold 2. There is no functioning TV channel working. No news like BBC, CNN, Sky, Aljezira etc 3. The bedroom telephone to access the front desk, room service or housekeeping does not work 4. The options on the restaurant menu are limited

Acceptable airport stay
Hotel is about 6.5 km (4 miles), a 10-minute drive from Keflavik airport. The hotel provides a shuttle only TO the airport, but there is a local bus (No.55) from outside arrival hall for €4, which drops you about a 6-minute walk from the hotel, or a taxi costs about €50. Hotel is typically Nordic in design, with good quality, simple, functional, clean, unfussy lines. Room was comfortable and everything worked. Dinner menu was ok, with prices reasonable for Iceland. Breakfast offered a good range of options and was available from 4am. There’s also a small snack shop in reception. Hotel offers a morning shuttle to the airport. Booking is advisable! Overall, a very acceptable place for a short airport stay.

The hotel is located near the airport and it makes a very convenient stay on arrival or departure. Also it is newly refurbished and the rooms are nicely decorated and very big. Highly recommend

Good stop over for access to the airport. Moderately priced. Breakfast is good and amazingly start servicing at 4:00 AM. Room was a bit cold. No separate heat in bathroom. Room is large.

This hotel was convenient to the airport. It cost about €23 for a taxi to get there. The shuttle only takes you to the airport between 4:00 and 10:00. It is close enough to walk to a couple other neighborhoods even though the staff will tell you that you can’t.

This hotel is close to the airport, so that early morning departures don't require a 45 minute ride, as would be the case from downtown Reykjavic
