We had a suite so had a large bedroom overlooking Copacabana beach, living area window looked towards Christ the Redeemer , views were amazing. Beds and pillows super comfy. Bathroom and furniture could do with some updating but they were adequate and in good state of repair. Nice restaurant and fab breakfast. Staff were very helpful and professional and spoke good English. Great beach bar opposite with good ,reasonable food. Really enjoyed our 4 night stay here.

The Copacabana Arena is a beautiful property, I would highly recommend getting the suite. The stunning views were fabulous to wake up to go to sleep to every night. The front desk staff was especially attentive annd spoke perfect English. The room attendance did a wonderful job cleaning the rooms and keeping us in towels and other items. The rooftop bar is A fun place to hang out in the evenings. The location is excellent. The The morning buffet breakfast is also very good with a great variety of breakfast foods, local dishes, tasty juices, Fruit, cheese, bread and pastries. I can’t say enough about this property. I would recommend it highly.

The hotel was right across from the beach. It was beautiful. It was easy to get transportation from the hotel. The restaurant food and service was wonderful. Front desk staff was helpful. Cleaning staff, wonderful. Clean our room everyday we were there. The only thing, they would not let us check in early. We waited 3 hours before we could check in. Other then that, everything was ok.

My friend and I, both educators, enjoyed our spring break in Rio at this prime location. Lopes provided great dinner suggestions, and the check-in process was smooth thanks to the cordial young lady who even gave us a key for the hotel restroom. Linhares was exceptional, securing our bags and assisting with directions. William at the bar and breakfast restaurant provided outstanding hospitality, making delicious caipirinhas and even bringing us towels when we dozed off. The breakfast staff were friendly, and the food was varied and tasty. Our room had stunning views of Copacabana, and although there were no balconies, the window allowed for fresh air. We always felt safe, and there were plenty of nearby restaurants to explore. Overall, it was one of our most pleasant hotel stays, and we will definitely return!

The staff were very friendly and willing to accommodate every need. The hotel is conveniently located right across from Copacabana beach. Housekeeping staff made sure that the rooms were very clean and organized.

Great location for access to restaurants, shopping and the beach. Hotel was great, staff was wonderful and accommodating. Lopes was extremely helpful with answering all our questions and requests. Linhares handled our luggage and kept it secure for us while we explored the city. I would stay at this hotel again if I return to Rio de Janeiro!

Good hotel, but the area it’s not so good, a lot of people on streets that get in your way offering you stuff to buy, doesn’t look like a tourist area with so many citizens going by, not complaining just a comment. Now the outside on on the cabana, restaurants was good.

I booked this hotel for a party of 7, with children aged 2, 6, 8 and 4 adults. The staff were kind and helpful. The area is safe, close to the beach and within easy reach of the key sites. Breakfast was good. I would have given a full 5* review, but despite asking over 12 weeks ahead for nearby rooms the family was split over 3 different floors which was rather inconvenient.

Nice hire across the street from Copacabana beach, clean, friendly staff. We stayed 11 days for carnival Rio de Janeiro. The tickets office for the carnaval are located in this hotel. You won’t regret staying there.

Maybe it is our bad luck, but our room had a moldy stale smell and we developed a persistent cough during the week we stayed in this hotel. We suspect the air conditioner was in bad need of service (i.e., general service/cleaning and change of air filter). Our cough quickly improved once we left this hotel.

PROS: English speakers, excellent staff at the restaurant, amazing location, great views, comfy beds, safe area CONS: the air conditioning does not reach the beds, it only cools the common room. I was unable to sleep and had to sleep on the couch by the AC. Also the noise from other rooms’ windows and doors is very loud

Clean , comfortable Located across beach, safe , polite staff. Breakfast had everything you could wish for . Fruit was delicious . I had a sea view suite -excellent, spacious with views to die for . I don’t know what the VIP benefit for this hotel is . When booking it says VIP access but does not say what you get . Perhaps Expedia needs to list the perks - I know it varies . In room - nothing is free . you have to purchase , coffee and water. Hotel exchange rate for USD is very low . Don’t exchange money here

Great location with easy access to the beach, area around is very clean and also has a wonderful staff who are so helpful.

This should be noted as a Boutique A La Carte hotel. A lot of the standard cost an additional fee.

Excellent location and the floor to ceiling, wall to wall oven view on the 9th floor was excellent. Breakfast was delicious and hearty that set you up for the day. Close to grocery store and pharmacy. The roof top terrace was nice as well. Thanks.
