Don't stay in a hotel undergoing renovations

At check in the clerk misdirected us to our room and we had to backtrack around the building to find it. We complained that the light over bathroom sink was out and it was not fixed. No breakfast amenities. Poor customer service. There's other options across the road.

Close to city center and some restaurants.

Pros: Location easy access to stores and highway.
Cons: Some of the furniture needs to be updated. Damaged cabinets and missing lights bulbs in the bathroom. Broken switches. Terrible maintenance.
Location: Not very familiar with the area.
Young lady at the desk was very pleasant. Daniel was her name. My first room 104 the heater made a really loud noise and the internet didn’t work. She switched me to the room above without hesitation and the heater worked great and was not making any noise. Looked like a newer unit. However, the internet still did not work and I called Daniel and she apologized for the inconvenience. Not much she could do to resolve the issue. The internet service provider will need to address that issue. There are cigarette burns on bathroom cabinets and damaged furniture.

If I knew I pd for 2 nights up front I would have ran. Dirty. Rude and overall should be condemned.to cold to sleep in my clean car. I am waiting for my hospital appointment...asked for help due to disability to 2 nd floor. No help. What has happened to the hospitality business. I feel sad.

No Frills but clean and helpful staff.

Cons: A little run down in the rooms -- but CLEAN/
My mother and I were traveling to Roanoke for her out-patient eye procedure. The check-in time was not supposed to be until 3pm but we arrived at 8am post-surgery and tired. The desk clerks stretched the definition of "early check in" and only charged us the $20 fee instead of an extra night's cost. They did this cheerfully and even recommended some lunch placed that delivered. The room was very clean! I love that motel 6 is switching from carpet to laminate. We had a smoking room (for my mom), which are sometimes so overwhelmingly nasty smelling, that its hard to sleep. But this one must have been dipped in febreeze, it had hardly any smoky smell at all! The water pressure was good in the shower, the microwave and mini-fridge were very clean and in working order The heat/AC worked quickly and quietly. My only complaint was that the side of the dresser had taken a pretty serious beating and was definitely due to be replaced. .But since I wasn't staying long enough to use it, it wasn't a big concern for me. I popped down in the evening in search of a fork and this desk clerk was also quite cheerful and helpful. In the morning, the complimentary coffee was pretty darn good.

Nice, affordable and freshly rennovated

We enjoyed our stay here. For the price, it was excellent. VERY large room with both a shower and bathtub. Comfortable king bed and plenty of room for our belongings. A nice flat-screen TV and cable access. Very high speed internet which was free. We would absolutely stay here again.

Close to highway

Good for an overnight - room clean- no shampoo- sink does not hold water- hard to flush toilet- has microwave & refrigerator- but no coffee pot in room. Staff are friendly. No breakfast , but there are places nearby. Good location
