As for feedback I never got a checkout email, I have no idea what was expected. Towel situation needs to be addressed, the towels should either be replaced or enough to last a family for a week. We had 4 total towels for 6 nights with 4 people. There is no way possible to keep the floor dry while taking a shower, I’m not the biggest man as I am average size and could barely fit in shower let alone get clean.

Absolutely wonderful!!
Bear skin neck is such a charming place!!! We came from Texas and I had no idea when booking just how quaint the town is with all of the shops! And this place is in the heart of the retail area in walking distance to everything. This was my favorite vacation stay ever! Would definitely recommend staying here. The photos of the place should be updated because the bedding and couches have been updated. Would definitely stay here again.

This place is in a great location for experiencing all the delights of Rockport. It’s cozy, well maintained, and nicely decorated. The stairs to the quarters are a little steep, but manageable. We had a wonderful time there.

Matt. The outside door does not lock. The combination lock was working but it wasn’t connecting somehow with the door jamb and would not lock. The upstairs lock to the apartment was fine. It was working on Thursday and Friday but not Saturday and today so the outside door isn’t locked

The PERFECT vacation rental
The absolute perfect vacation rental, we just returned from such a memorable stay here! The condo is immaculate, spotlessly clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, filled to the brim with historic charm and has every comfort of home. The location cannot be beat, perfectly situated in the heart of Bearskin Neck, the quaintest little sea village. In our opinion the best location in all of Rockport. A short beautiful walk to the beach, a step out the front door brings you to the most picturesque water front locations, Motif #1, quaint shops, ice cream, coffee, restaurants... you are surrounded by old-world beauty at ever turn. In the evening the town is peaceful and quiet - open the windows and enjoy the most magnificent sleep with the sea air coming through ! When returning to Rockport, this is the place my family and I will stay without question. If you are planning a stay in Rockport, make this your rental - you will be overjoyed that you did, we sure are! Enjoy!!!

Fantastic winter stay in Rockport/Bearskin Neck
We enjoyed every moment of our stay in the Captain's Quarters. The apartment in this 300 year old (!) colonial building is the perfect blend of antique charm with all the modern comforts and amenities you could want. Summers in Rockport are fun with the bustling crowds, but the middle of winter is a really special time to visit Bearskin Neck. It's peaceful and calm and you almost feel like a local when you drop into the cozy restaurants and coffee shops. We'll definitely rent this place again. Thanks for a great experience!

Charming old sail loft in fantastic location
If you love Rockport but can't stand the crowds, I would thoroughly recommend visiting in winter. This property is in the heart of Bearskin Neck and is so cute, the pictures don't really do it justice. As with any old property there are compromises - the shower is the smallest I've ever seen, but it functions well. No compromise with the heating as we were super cozy and there were plenty of extra blankets if required. It would have been good to have had a few more cooking utensils, such as oven mitts and dish cloths, but there was enough to manage a basic dinner. Owner was very quick and helpful in responding to questions. Overall, a beautiful property in a stunning location.

Really cool place, great location
The house was clean, comfortable, and really easy to check in. Free parking was pretty easy to find if you’re willing to walk 5 minutes. Bearskin neck gets very busy with people during the day but is very quiet and peaceful at night. Would definitely stay here again.

Truly the best location in Rockport
If you're looking to be right in the middle of everything to do in Rockport then this is the location for you. Crazy amount of great charm in this historic apartment. All the shops and restaurants are within walking distance. We tend to keep an eye on the weather channel during hurricane season as we reside in south Florida, so although there was tv, it only offers Amazon Prime and Netflix. Which was still great when we just wanted to chill on the couch at night and enjoy a few cocktails. Rockport was everything I hoped it would be, the history and charm of this old town is something I will carry with me for a long time to come. We will be back again!! Thank you to Matt, the owner, who was responsive and helpful.

Wonderfully cozy and historic apartment, harbor views, central location. What more could you want?
This was our family’s first trip to Rockport, MA, and this apartment was the perfect home-away-from-home for us. We had more than enough space for our small family, and the historic details of the apartment lend a cozy and warm feeling to the accommodations. The location of the apartment is perfect for exploring the Bearskin Neck area of Rockport, as it’s right in the thick of all the small shops and restaurants (and especially ice cream shops!). By day we had fun exploring Rockport and it’s waterfront or going on excursions in nearby parks and towns, and by night we came back to this charming apartment to rest and relax. The only downsides we found were a lack of bathtub (for bathing our little one) and parking (if you’re not familiar with the area, you may need to park your car quite a ways away to leave it overnight, but who can’t use a little more exercise, right?), but we knew that before booking. We found the accommodations clean, the kitchen and bathroom well-stocked with the basics, and the owners kind, attentive, and overall wonderful to communicate with. Our family would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a charmingly quaint, small town Rockport vibe, with sounds and breezes from the small harbor coming in through the open windows, and relaxing evenings spent rigorously testing out the numerous ice cream shops! I think our daughter said it best when we had to go home, “I want to stay here!” My wife and I couldn’t agree more.

We did not find the apartment adequately cleaned for the 3 of us upon our arrival.
There were not sufficient paper products or enough linens for us. Matt was pleasant to deal with and did his best to provide what was needed to make our stay more comfortable. Overall the location was the best feature.
