I can’t figure out if reminds me more of a nursing home or a funeral home. It’s a really depressing busted, old suburban hotel that has seen better days. Also, when I got there, I decided to stay two nights instead of three and told him immediately. They are still charging me for the third night as I write this. We’ll see how it works out. But besides that, do not book a room on the ground floor. The window is a foot wide and abuts the ceiling at ground level so it honestly feels like you’re in a grave.

Fantastic location. The hotel is located on a side street 200 meters (5 min. walk) from Piazzale de Ponte Milvio (Milvio Bridge Square) with more than 20 nice restaurants and cafes. If you want a quiet room ask for a room on the back side, toward the river.

Had a wonderful stay at River Chateau! The hotel is beautiful, classy, and clean. The front desk staff were kind and helpful with tourist recommendations and transportation arrangements, and we were able to communicate with them in English. Room service met our expectations, and the busboys attending to the breakfast and beverages in the morning were exceptional (we visited in late December to early January). The Italian-style food options and cappuccinos were delicious and came in a variety that caters to all tastes. Although the hotel is located away from the center of Rome, our half-hour commute wasn't bad with the public transport and affordable taxis/Ubers (about 15-20 euros each way) available. We enjoyed the more local feel of the surrounding area and were able to find a few authentic restaurants and a gelateria close by.

Beautiful hotel in a nice area quiet but close to many restaurants and bars. On the outskirts of Rome city but accessible by taxi or bus in around 20 minutes. Walkable if you enjoy strolling - about an hour walk to Trevi Fountain Hotel is immaculate and staff are exceptional

Wifi was terrible, we had to go to a restaurant to be able to work. Air conditioning was also bad, most of the room kept warm during the day. There was a water leak in the bathroom sink, and on the third day, there was no water on the room, we had to go to a room on the second floor to get a shower. The breakfast was good.

Lovely Hotel with Nice Staff
This is a nice hotel and the staff are super friendly and helpful. They were very generous to upgrade the room from a junior suite to a prestige double room with terrace (which I did not realize right away). I was only slightly disappointed the parking was not included, there was no room service (I could order from the terrace lounge and have it brought to my room, but I couldn’t call 24 hours a day if I need something), the restaurant was only open certain hours and most importantly…no coffee pot or kettle in the room. I think this is seriously needed. Travelers are coming back from all over the world and most people love coffee right away in the morning. I do expect this from a 4-Star hotel and was sad, especially because I was in Italy…where the coffee is fabulous, and I had no way to make it in the AM or whenever I wanted/needed it! But, that being said, the hotel is beautiful, in a very nice neighborhood, close to the Tiber and waking to most sights, and the staff was super helpful in bringing things to the room when I called and to allow for a one hour extension for a late checkout.

Great hotel need to sort out noise pollution!
Checked in and as had booked larger room they thought there was 4 of us but only 2. When we checked out they then charged us the room tax for 4 people didnt explain quickly folded bill and sent us on our way. Lots of noise from other rooms and toilets when being flushed

9/10 - great stay!
Really good hotel. Service was out of this world. Only thing it missed was a pool, but I’m not sure the heat wave we encountered is too common so probably not needed! Great bus links from the hotel into the city and some nice bars/restaurants near the hotel. Certainly a 9/10 hotel.

Great location. Near all restaurants and local life. Breakfast was well served with great customer service. The only thing that I would have like to see was a ice machine and ironing board.

Excellent Ponte Milvio option
Great, affordable option in Ponte Milvio, just outside the city center. The area is fairly residential but has plenty of good dining/bar options, people watching and a fun weekend flea market just a few blocks away. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The room and lobby were well kept and clean. Pro tip for US visitors: the 'double bed' option is essentially a queen (rather than a full) so plenty of space to have a comfy rest. Definitely recommend!

Nice Hotel in great location
