This was surprisingly a great place to stay...it was once part of McMillian air force base (decomissioned). There are cool historic buildings there too. Great place for families.

The area outside is pretty when arriving. The staff were friendly when checkingin and out. They weren't aware of the conditions in the room they gave me. The staff member seemed surprised when I said duct tape held the carpet onto the tile in the main area. He was also apalled when I showed him pics of the patched but not painted walls and the discusting looking bathtub. Not to mention the pink splatter on the back of one bedroom door. What happened there? One is left to wonder. We cleaned a white cream off the carpet when we first got in the suite. I would like a refund for the 2 days I didn't stay there but have been denied by Lions gate. Very disappointed in the conditions compared to the pictures advertised.

The staff of Lions Gate Hotel are beyond excellent in all areas of their duties. They perform efficiently and professionally in timely manners. I am comfortable and feel so safe when there. I couldn't find a better place even if I had the desire to look, which I definitely don't!

Property & Staff are great. I only wish the A/C worked better in my room. I guess it's the breaker? If it's popped, the temp gauge will read 89 in the room. I have a feeling the guests that stay above me, sometimes next to me have had something to do w/ it.

Lions Gate Hotel is a strong 4 out of 5! Staff are courteous, patient and try their best to ensure a great hotel stay! The rooms dated but are very clean, sanitary and comfortable! AC will pop off with those older units and tvs will auto shut off being older sets. However, any of these issues reported to hotel staff will prompt maintenance calls that fix the issue(s) promptly! Let's not forget about the free breakfast! The food is always temperature appropriate, fresh, delicious and well displayed. The dining area is always neat, clean and visually pleasing. Kudos to Erin & all the great Lionsgate Hotel staff for providing a wonderful July 4th respite for this USAF Vet!!

It’s an older building but it’s pretty well taken care of. The grounds & outside is maintained really good making it a cute space to stay. They also have a good variety with their breakfast.

I have No Complaints and I've been staying here for quite a awhile now. Without any hesitation to the question, I just don't have anything to complain about. The best staff and Value for the Accommodations, Free Breakfast Buffet w/ Fresh Bacon, Eggs, Sausage, Cranberry/Orange Juices, Good amount of space in the rooms , perfect for Pets. I've done Podcasts some weeks daily and feels like every hour and have not had a problem w/ feeling cramped w/ the people I've interviewed. Without a doubt, the most "Business Like" Hospitable Staff I've experienced in Sacramento, Ca.

Renovated rooms are alright. Cheap led lightbulbs flicker all the time. Bed was comfy. Limited dining at the restaurant. Breakfast is included but was gone downhill the past while. I didn’t even eat it the second day since it wasn’t even worth the price of free.

The rooms was nothing like the pictures that’s on the website. My room has no ac. I made a complaint the staff brought me a box fan. For them to bring me a fan it’s an ongoing issue with the AC. Also, huge rats were jumping out the trash can that was next to the door that I had to use to enter and exit my room.
