I wish I read reviews of this place before I booked, as I'd stayed at Park Inns in other cities throughout the world, they've always been nice, so I bought this booking purely on name. Well, never again. While the place was clean, everything was just barely okay, like it wasn't terrible, but certainly absolutely nothing to please you or make you want to come back a second time. Sheets were wrinkled, there were some reviews of bed bugs which made us quite nervous and we checked, thankfully we didn't find any. There was very poor in room lighting, so if you want to just sleep there, ok, but it's not useful for doing anything else if you have a family. Without the AC going, the room felt damp. With the AC, it dehumidified, but was noisy all night, it never shut off. Even the front check in desk was dark. The whole place just seems run down.

We stayed overnight. The room was clean with all necessary item provided. The front desk staff was really helpful and even guided me for nice lookout for sunset .

The AC unit stopped working 1/2 way through the night. At first, room seemed fairly clean but then we saw hair on bathroom floor in the corners, a dried splash of who knows what on the headboard, and a cash tip left by previous guests near coffee maker. The fact that the housekeeper didn’t see it - meant she/he didn’t wipe down the table between guests.

Great breakfast , lots of stafff , clean hotel .. just a great value for price .. wish most Hampton inns by Hilton ran as smoothly as this one , excellent stop on our tour of Cape Breton .. thx to staff for doing a great job and being part of a fantastic team
