“Very friendly and helpful staff. Tavern pub and the separate restaurant looked nice but didn’t eat there. Restaurant had live music. The bathroom was small(to be expected in historic hotels). Furniture a little worn but bed was comfortable and linens nice. We enjoyed our stay and would return.”

“The Merchant is a fantastic location to stay when visiting Salem. It is in close proximity to popular sites, shopping, and restaurants. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The staff was very helpful with their suggestions as well as contacting us about an item we left behind. Would definitely stay there again!”
